Hope your mom feels better. We had terrible body aches, low fever, headaches right after our Ascent cruise. We drove from port to West Coast, Fl.. no airpirt involved..just got our luggage made one stop for gas and local pizza..No idea how we got so sick. It was not Covid but very bad muscle pain..Used Tylenol Flu. It. lasted a week + . Some on Ascent got notes about possible legionaires.. .hmm.. just the risks of cruising! Hope all well now.

never saw such nice snacks at Al Baccio..like a mini meal! sunset video was very pretty! I never tried taking one...good idea!

but it can be hot and sunny..need water and a hat, or a taxi!

thanks.. my husb is a big Tolkien fan! I made it through the Hobbit & maybe a bit more, but not my thing! Seems the movies are on cable TV quite often. . We met some really devoted fans on one of our cruises, who did immersive trips, but I could never endure the long travel!

Intetesting reduction in services on X except for the highest level suites yet prices stay high! By comparison...When we booked a Concierge/suite level at Nassau Sandals all inclusive some years ago...(post Sandy) we were picked up by pvt car at the airport, greeted at a private reception area with champagne and fruit for check.in... Our luggage was taken to.our room... The Concierge (?) took us to our ocean view balcony rm, went over all amenities and took a list of how we wanted the fridge and bar and snacks stocked.. Ongoing, Concierge team made dinner and other res for us.. We felt pampered. The.price back then compared same as price for a Reflection AQ Class cruise we cancelled for the same week.. No extra charges except for the spa and shopping! (Spa prices and services were much less than X) We are thinking of goibg all inclusive after our next few cruises!

Rough seas may not be the cause but may aggravate the defect. Sorry to be paranoid but "X" must know all about it by now and should be mapping out a remedial plan ....even if they have to take some cabin sections apart and rebuild. Band aid approach is not working

I thought the food courses at Petit Chef were matched to the chef's video.. ..Sorry service was so inattentive..esp when the gratuity is added to your dinner charge. We have not seen Rockumentary, but hope to.if still on the ship wgen we sail. Fillmore East was every weekend..way back! We would probably enjoy a trip back to the 60s. Our plans for Puerta Plata are not very strenuous..esp in the heat. We hope to shop, get cigars for Sal..gifts for our grands, have a few drinks and get photos of the birds and botanicals at the port Looking forward to your adventure!

I loved the photos of the colorful buildings and houses on Curacao. ..Many seem familiar The bright colors fit so well for a sunny island..They seemed well kept & in good repair. Very cheerful and happy! We are not huge fans of Mambo Beach area, but the water is fairly calm & very clean. We try to find a shady spot in a tavern. Last time, the bar staff where we landed for lunch were crazy for U.S. baseball...they treated us very well! Next time at Curacao we will try to visit the hotel area for sonething different....but we do not have an ABC cruise on our agenda right now.

Only thing we did not see were animals in the tree tops or on the ground..did see birds! maybe check the port boards of X excursions for ideas!

X announced that some EDEN cafe items would incur an upcharge..perhaps very limited The included items are quite good..It can get crowded It had limited hours on ASCENT, the curtain was often closed , so we did not get there in January..

Taking an excursion is the best way to enjoy this itin. .We did it yrs ago before the new locks were in use. Saw quite alot, included aerial tram, climbed towers with great views, butterfly stop, resort stop for a drink.Return to lively shopping area..food, music, etc.. Highly rec the book "Path Between the Seas"..for historical/ engibeering perspective, photos maps of orig canal. Worth the long read!

If one can book a suite, there will be fewer children in the RETREAT, Luminae and other restricted areas.. Gives a break..but not kid free 24/7..or you can try an adults only all inc resort

WOW..Michael's Club looks upscale but comfy.. much nicer than the Retreat Lounges on E class. Glad the wheelchair arrived.

Correct.. not free to use with a massage. It was always a curved heated bench unless they re- did it.. An interior space but strong steam and saunas!

Delta changes flight times all the time..We used to check on times every day.. But we never had a problem changing flights..as they know it is usually their fault if there's a tight connection.. The more hands or bots that touch any res, the more headaches one can encounter .Hope it works out!

WCB is a great spot ...you can take in all the "doings" at the Martini Bar but from a bit of a distance. Some very unique drinks! On ASCENT, Eden Cafe was not Always open when we wanted it to be....but it's a nice place..has some seats outdoors from what I recall. Enjoy your cruise!

Branden and James with back up by Celeb orchestra looks like a nice act.. Do you recall some of the selections played? Sound of a cello is beautiful..hope not electrified! Hope Aruba is fun...and not too hot!
