  1. Sorry Napria, Fair is Fair. Belt holes and waist lines are on hold while on board. We are about 231 days and it's on my mind how to lose for the 14 days. Lost last time for cruise, but on 14 days, gained 6 on return. There are other food photos taken wouldn't darn.Yes, they do have variety on board the cheeses. The Cheese board was used when didn't want to have those OTHER desserts if you know what I mean! That was the alter go to. On a Caribbean to come, I want to get into my White Jacket. My method on board, enjoy by moderation thru out. Look at the sample copies of the menus on the boards to get an idea whats to come.
  2. Cheese Trolley in the Princess Grill, after dinner......
  3. Taken on September 2022 after parking the car at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal, Redhook from the parking lot before the Canada/New England 14 day sailing.
  4. Especially on sailings, we place them into the check in luggages. We figure out how many we will wish to take in case of useage. We use the same company and combine several tests components in one box to eco the space. Works out fine. We dispose the tests parts in the hallway trash cans so the Cabin Steward does not have to worry if we possible are postive. We too take Hand Sanitizer in medium and small bottles when we travel. And small bleach wipe container. And a number of masks better than the ship version. Better to be safe...
  5. John, Doesn't this sound like the Chair Hogs on the open decks with lounges or those holding seats in the Royal Court Theater or the particular seats on the Shore Excursion buses?
  6. Dear Thorsten, Future Congratulations on your Silver Anniversary. We will be sailing on the same 14th Day segment of the Caribbean Trip on March 15th as you for our Post 48th Anniversary in 2025. Not recently but we did sail many Caribbean Sailings during that time of year from as far back as the QE2 and QM2. This sailing to the Caribbean in March has not been done by the QM2 since 2008, the last time we took it. The time of year on this trip re-attracted us to book. I know your concern about climate change effects topic you mentioned but on a regular sailing to the Caribbean, it's a wonderful experience and one we always enjoyed. Especially those days on the open seas those three days at the start and end, we look forward too as many others to Sun-ing on the open decks. We never did a sailing in November to the Caribbean as we are preparing for the Holidays at home. Hope you decide which one you would like to book. If you decide March, would be delighted to say "Hello" during the sailing.
  7. In Our Honest Opinion, we do feel it's a honor and pleasant experience each time we sail. Since we do not sail as often as many others, we look forward to the service. Even though I have a Culinary Background, we look forward not having to do all the tasks to prepare a meal at home for the period we are sailing.
  8. Totally agree with you John. It's an honor to dine in the Queen's Grill with cuisine, wait staff assigned for the sailing, and set table to enjoy a delightful meal the three times each day. I never knew even on land anyone that dines towards the far-est times of the set dining times. You always wants and should respect the serving staff assigned and appreciate their dedicated service during your sailing. We always do and receive their appreciation on return sailings.
  9. Our take on the benefits for Diamond, we appreciate those listed before this list in the previous categories. Always take advantage of the WIFI of course, especially now with Starlink added. As said, enjoy the comp lunch. Enjoyed the Wine Tasting event. Even ordered one for the evening meal. Haven't done the luggage thing yet. DW takes advantage of the laundry savings. Not a laundrette person.
  10. We agree with our fellow Cruise Critic. My DW and I during our sailing on a 14 day Canada/New England in September 2022 on the QM2 occupied a Table for 2 by a window in the Princess Grill and loved it! The same exposure as you would experience in the Queens Grill. We did experience the enclosed walkway that is in front of and ran the length of the Princess Grill restaurant and found no negative effects during any of our meals. And we did attend most of our meals in the restaurant except a few. It was a requested location on booking and was extremely happy to be assigned it. We knew where we were asking to be located. We did not experience any interference from those passing the window and there were few to many. But we concentrated on our meals being served to us. Passengers that were strolling were all heading to the rear of the ship, so they were never attempting to look in. We never had a thought to ask for the table to be changed.
  11. Lunch comp in Vernadh..... Use at dinner in Vernadh must pay remaining surcharge. We always use it at Lunch Does not include bar and gratitude tab

  15. WOW Kathy, That Kings Court Buffet cuisine was so meant to me. Every dish my Favorite! Of course some other dishes are missing.....lol....... So happy to follow your narration of the trip. Feels like we are with you. Yes, Bev & ! agree about these Big Band evenings we too look forward to hearing. But the simple music in the lounges are great too! Enjoy!
  16. We agree it's justified for the service. We never asked to have it removed or altered. They work very hard and appreciate it. Researching the internet, the other lines even charge high amounts and also even for room service and gratuity to boot
  17. babs, Thank you for mentioning about the booklet you received before the sailing. The last two sailings, we did not recieve any mailing like that. Have to enquire for our next March trip..How soon close to the date was it received?
  18. We did receive the certificate after the pandemic on the September 2022 and July 2023 sailing for each individual events. For the Alternative Dining Restaurants and also for Champagne Tea Time. It was not a letter as mentioned. Courtesy of the M'd of the Vernadh Steakhouse we knew from previous sailings, we were permitted to keep it and use it for another Comp Lunch. Very nice of him. So some items may still exist.
