  1. FYI: can’t make wi-fi phone calls on the basic/AI, need premium to do so
  2. You should edit the title to add to the end of it: “on an Antarctica sailing?”
  3. It's in unusual location on the E-Class just in front of the Eden entrance where it has a semi-wall so you can watch folks walk by and they can see you if you if they look in Usually the service is elevated and the best part about it is you can order items off the Blu menu and the MDR menu. Whatever you would rank the MDR on a scale of 1-10, Blu will only be a point or two higher
  4. Doing something like this, on the highlighted days will be working by the pool by day and having fun at night...
  5. 1) App may take a while to update, often isn't finalized until a few days before the sailing 2) MDR is open for lunch for 90mins on sea days 3) On embarkation day, MDR is open for invitees only which includes concierge class, zeniths, B2Bs, etc 4) Tuscan Grille MAY offer lunch for a fee on select sea days
  6. One downside to the 'Nox is it won't have Starlink until the end of the next year but I would imagine you should be fine on the zoom call as long as it isn't during a peak time. Generally 20ish mins before and after the start of lunch and dinner its very congested. You will definitely want to ensure you purchase the premium internet
  7. How will you handle your zoom call if there are temporary freezes and/or you get disconnected and cannot rejoin for several minutes? Odds are you can successfully have a zoom call but if there are seriously consequences due to getting disconnected (like your job depends on it), you should skip it There are way too many variables like does the ship have Starlink, what time of day, how long is the zoom call, the itinerary, etc
  8. It does as it simply is added to your sign and sail account which is coded as travel
  9. Can guest services cash a check is not a commonly asked question, I be surprised if they did because of the liability of it bounces but do not know for sure If obtaining cash isn’t an option pre-sailing, ship atm is one option, port atm is another and finally there’s performing a room charge at a slot machine and cashing it out at the cashier
  10. For international phone plans, if you visit a lot of places by land it makes far more sense. However, if you're mostly visiting for the day on a cruise, you're either busy doing a tour and/or will get hungry and can easily find a bar/restaurant with wifi On the ship is often when you want/need wifi As pointed out, you can use a laptop like a travel router to create a hotspot yet even if you have premium wifi, if you're reverse tethering to your phone you won't receive either SMS texts or phone calls (Wi-Fi calling) Obviously everyone has different internet wants/needs
  11. Some ships were delayed by months while others were slightly ahead of schedule. I can't imagine it's a capacity thing but who knows
  12. In the U.S., most of us like a hot breakfast with eggs and bacon
  13. X claims "Biggest OFFER of the year" and therefore is no violation. Like it or not, like airlines or hotels, they have the right to increase fares then offer bigger discounts or "sales"
  14. I've never viewed the elite breakfast as a "breakfast" due to the minimal food offerings, I view it as more a place to go after breakfast for a second cup of coffee
  15. For all phones, to receive sms texts (generally anything but iMessages) and to make Wi-Fi calls you need premium
  16. Everything they advertise appears to be legal…They’re (currently) saying “offer” not “sale” but they can tweak any of the following numbers
  17. Been in balcony-AQ so perhaps it’s different with suites…Rooms always have been ready when we arrive by 1130-1230
  18. Haven’t received a go green email for any of our 2022 sailings except coincidentally earlier this month
  19. Food is very subjective; as I stated, I personally prefer Maine lobster. It isn't just species, there's hard and soft shell, size, freshness and most importantly if it's cooked correctly. You can go to anywhere in the country, find a red lobster, pick out your fresh maine lobster and it'll be cooked to perfection because if the cook can't make lobster right they won't last wrong. Same can't be said about cruise ships, often lobster is overcooked. If one really cares about strangers lobster preference, feel free to use google. Here's one video
  20. Yes, all (that I’ve seen on multiple ships) cardio machines have a headphone Jack
  21. Are you asking if you buy the 2 device Wi-Fi package, can be connected to Wi-Fi for say a both phone and laptop? If that’s what you’re asking, yes; that has nothing to do with a travel router
  22. For the most part yes; I have not tried other ones so perhaps there are better options out there
  23. Technically one could the bring travel router anywhere on the ship if they can power it via a laptop, battery pack, find an outlet, etc. Not sure why anyone would want to do that but one could if they wanted to
