MedallionClass App Captain Circle Status problem?
cruzsnooze replied to phabric's topic in Princess Cruises
Stop using the APP and stop the frustration. You can do the input online in the web version and save all the aggravation. -
Sky Princess Elite and Platinum HH lounge?

Sometimes abbreviations are open to interpretation which is ambiguous. I worked in a medical capacity and abbreviations were down right dangerous. -
Sky Princess Elite and Platinum HH lounge?

HH ? -
So far I haven't forgot who I am and I don't drink. When I do get forgetful it will be very helpful to use the full medallion features. The up side of loosing one's memory is you meet new (really the same) people every day and there is never a repeat TV show anymore (can't remember the first time you saw it)! And best of all is that every cruise and port will be new no matter how many times I've been there.

If you reread my post you will see I cannot be tracked............ " I kept the medallion in an RFID sleeve I bought in a ten pack for my credit cards. I don't like being tracked and don't need Princess screens all over the ship to paste my picture and name up since I already know who I am. " The medallion or cruise card cannot be scanned in an RFID sleeve.

Question about DR menu and room service
cruzsnooze replied to kywildcatfanone's topic in Princess Cruises
What a misconception it's free. It's been prepaid in your fare so it's included. Everything about a cruise is loaded into your fare after the bean counters decide the profit margin. -
NOT true. I don't have the app and have been on 3 cruises in the last 6 months. I either use the web version or call the navigator line and they sent me the medallion. I took the medallion to guest services and they traded it for a traditional Black cruise card. On my last cruise last month I used the medallion but it was not connected to any app. It unlocks the door but doesn't open it, you need a free hand to turn the handle. On the Caribbean Princess you had to touch the screen outside your cabin, it didn't unlock the door as you approached. I kept the medallion in an RFID sleeve I bought in a ten pack for my credit cards. I don't like being tracked and don't need Princess screens all over the ship to paste my picture and name up since I already know who I am.

Yes, go to guest services and request one. Because the recommendation is NOT to use the medallion because of it's magnet if you have a pacemaker Princess will always keep the cruise cards available.

The menu's can change. If you ask your waiter, they will show you the next day's menu. Many times they will tell you the days' menu hasn't been set yet. You can also look on the TV under dining and scroll to dinner.

Sort of live from Discovery 9/16/22

You are paying $5 a day for internet with the platinum discount. It's not a lot so even a refund doesn't replace the frustration of not getting what is advertised. Last month I was on the Caribbean Princess and I didn't get any internet for 7 days out of 16. -
How is the bidding system doing? Any comments?
cruzsnooze replied to Bwana Tom's topic in Princess Cruises
I'm on this sailing and didn't receive an offer to bid but am already in a premium suite. I would consider bidding on a higher category suite. -

Was that $2113 the price when you booked or when got the email to bid? -
It can positively impact remaining passengers by supplementing their fare. Do you think Princess makes any money ( or very little) on an inside cabin? Without the higher priced cabins the fare would be much higher for lower category cabins. When did it become a secret that money talks? All business' go after the most money to their bottom line and higher priced items and venues are more profitable. Is it any different that suites get included laundry and a mini bar? My one day turn around for laundry probably effects those not in a suite to 2-3 day turn around. Looking at the posted prices in a previous post I personally won't be paying those prices for a suite on a mass market line when I could go to Viking or Azamara or Oceania.

You're assuming the sanctuary hasn't been enlarged to accommodate more passengers. Let's not jump to conclusions until we actually see the ship and read the real time reviews when it starts sailing. So much of this thread is sounding like sour grapes because some can afford a more luxurious cruise then others. Everyone has the same opportunity to book into the two upscale categories. Some people eat at Denny's - McDonalds - Mortons, there are choices and we can go where we're comfortable.

There's a golden Rule....................He with the Gold Rules That's what Princess is doing and for revenue. I agree that if you don't like the price structure and it's a bit high for a mass market line look to a smaller more inclusive line. Some features of this new class sound like they're c trying to compete with NCL's Haven. If the high end cabins don't have a reserved area seating for the shows I won't bother sailing on this new ship.

When you say "shorted" what do you mean? Did you get a FCC and money or????

I wouldn't even think about the covid requirements for next June. -
The State Funeral of Her Majesty The Queen

Not to be contradictory but it's not sad that this graceful woman lived a good life for 96 years. I wish that for myself and others. I wish we viewed this as a celebration of a life well lived. She was extraordinary. -

You would greatly regret cabin F301. It is opposite the open corridor door just feet from Churchill's cigar lounge. The stink waft's to this cabin. It is also smaller then all the other window suites in the corridor. -
California Coastal / LAX Flight Question
cruzsnooze replied to DisneyTech's topic in Princess Cruises
I would not look at John Wayne airport, too far, If anything I would look at Long Beach airport which is 15 minutes from the pier. Although 10:30 is close I think it's doable. With your precheck and getting dropped off it's likely you'll be fine. It shouldn't take more then 30-35 minutes to get to the airport. -
Not All Agencies Will Forward Bidding Email
cruzsnooze replied to cruzsnooze's topic in Princess Cruises
On a general point I agree with you. But when my SUV needed tires it sure was nice having it all paid for with that gift card from the big box store. Things like wiper blades are needed every year on one of our cars, with items like these it gets used up quickly and of course we'll pick up a rotisserie chicken too! -

The question is if your agency participates and the one I use doesn't. I don't use an online, I call in to the big box agency. -

I have a cruise booked next year with this agency and a $405 Gift card which is a significant amount. If Princess sends out an email to the agency AND the passenger I will be a happy cruiser. -
