  1. I think we're talking about the same company. I get a gift card not OBC from them.
  2. In the FAQ'S this is question number one How do I check whether my cruise is eligible for Princess Upgrade? You should receive an email invitation after all eligibility requirements are met and have opted-in to receive marketing emails from Princess. If you meet all the eligibility requirements but still cannot access the bidding site, please check with your travel advisor as a small number of travel agencies have elected to limit access partially or fully to this program. I have a booking with a big box agency and wonder if they will have access. They never passed on upgrade offers in the past so I wonder about passing this along. I called the big box agency this morning and they said "WE ARE NOT PARTICIPATING IN THE BIDDING PROCESS"

  4. I never purchase the drink package , that's why I'm curious.
  5. That answers the question, you may get an invitation to bid if you have a GTY. I am also sailing on the Discovery the beginning of Nov.
  6. My cabin hasn't been assigned. I'm in a full suite GTY but wouldn't mind bidding on a higher category suite.
  7. I have a GTY on a cruise in Nov. I'm curious if bidding extends to this category.
  8. Has anyone gotten an offer to bid if they have a GTY ?
  9. Be careful and disputing the credit card or contacting the BBB if you ever chose to sail with Princess again. Your TA should have informed you about the requirements and they were posted on Princess' web page. I don't believe the cruise with confidence covers your error, it's for those that test positive or require quarantine during a cruise. I would suggest you write a very polite letter to Princess customer service and explain your situation. Ask for a future cruise credit (not a refund which will be denied) and explain how excited you are to think about a future cruise with Princess. Make them want to help you with lots of positive vibs.
  10. I ate there on the Majestic. I ordered the scallops and they were served almost raw. I sent my dish back 3 times. Portions were small and the food not to my liking. The location was awful. I wouldn't go back even for free.
  11. This was on the Caribbean Princess to Greenland last month. Other ships had no wait times but this ship handled their club class poorly. They also allowed one couple who were not club class to dine with their 4 friends who were club class in club class. They kept a table of six for them empty in the overflow area.
  12. Yes and in addition there was a 10-15 minutes many nights for Club Class if we went to dinner around 6 PM. The extra dish each night was actually very nice compared to previous cruises. The service was excellent. My last cruise they had kept one table for 6 near a window for sharing which I took advantage of when the table was not full. It was in demand all the time. I would have liked to see this sharing table on more cruises. This sharing table was the the equivalent of 3 two tops so would alleviate the wait times we experienced at dinner time. It was a win win for Princess and guests.
  13. I've had more then $1500 recently so it's possible.
  14. That's great because as stated in a previous post some big box TA'S do not pass along emails .
  15. I just read the web page about bidding. It's unclear whether one gets an email if they used a TA or the TA gets it and forwards it to you. Does anyone have clarity on this point?

We can't wait to welcome you on board, make you feel like a VIP and help you create those "only on Princess" moments!
  17. The 4 day coastal comedy cruise Nov 10 has no available suites, all sold out. They have been sold out for a long time because when I booked this cruise months ago I took an S5 GTY and I have not been assigned yet. I'm guessing there will be no bidding on a full suites unless after assigning the GTY's there are cancellations.
  18. I was also on this sailing. I got my internet refund on my folio and am expecting a refund since I didn't use all my OBC. With the exception of the production show Bravo I didn't care for the entertainment. Princess had stated they were shortening the shows to 45 minutes and going to do 3 shows so everyone could attend. Never happened and as usual you either got to the showroom 30-45 minutes early or no seats available. The outbreak of covid was significant enough for the Captain to make an announcement that it was serious enough to request everyone mask when out and about. The Piazza was a disaster. Remember the pool chair hogs? Well it happened at the Piazza. People would go get seats and leave sweaters and books on the chairs and leave for significant amounts of time. The cold weather drove the chair hogs indoors.
  19. You would forfeit your lower fare to rebook under the new promo. That's the way it works.
  20. They also have coffee's in the mornings. I'm sailing on the Discovery in Nov and looking forward to the concierge lounge.
  21. I ate at Sabitini's breakfast on My Aug 15-31 cruise so it was less then a week ago. They were open everyday 7-10 AM no exceptions and no difference on sea days. They had avocados upon request every day. I ordered James Beard French toast which isn't their menu item and they accommodated me. The service was excellent. Full suites can have room service disembarkation morning if desired but Sabitini's is open that morning too.
  22. Your having the Princess Plus package should not effect what the concierge does or doesn't have. I never take a drink package since I don't drink enough to warrant it but Happy Hour includes other drinks and wines for pax like me. Also there are nibbles available.
  23. They used to do something, not always an exact match but have discontinued that practice altogether.
