  1. Was there the gold mesh bathroom elite bathroom amenity? Did you get the blue tote bags on your bed the first night?
  2. Nobody cares what you wear if it's clean.. We see everything from suits to Hawaiian shirts on formal nights.
  3. I can get as far as seeing the fares for the categories but not into the page to pick a cabin, it has an error message. Not very conducive to Princess getting deposits.
  4. Not at all. You can adjust the gratuity at guest services so this doesn't even make sense for those of us who do not wish to prepay their exorbitant suggestion. It is included if you pick one of the drinks package.
  5. I got an email this morning about a new promotion about California residents, so they might be updating the Calif sailings
  6. I sail mostly in suites on Princess. Only on newer ships do you have a concierge lounge. The amenities are skimpy compared to other cruise lines. It's the cabin size and separate walk in shower that I enjoy most. Club Class dining is a second reason to book a suite but you can get Club Class in a mini suite for much less then a full suite fare.
  7. All the posts do not say this. Further more the daily service has not been defaulted to once a day, that's a significant decrease in service.
  8. Service level decreases and the suggested gratuity increases. Anyone else see a disparity here?
  9. It's not $3 it's $33 because they match the other price AND give the 10%. I did it many times because I wanted to security of the gty to get me back in time so I don't get left behind.
  10. could it be since they implemented the elite tier 10% off they decided it wasn't cost effective for them to do the price match anymore?
  11. One big reason I like booking with Princess is they don't charge an Administration fee of $100 PP like RCL and Celebrity if you cancel even way before final payment. I did sail on RCL's Navigator but it was their simulated cruise which was absolutely wonderful. I took an NCL cruise on the Bliss in January and you couldn't give me another cruise on NCL. I took 3 cruises on Princess since the start up and they were fine, not great but good. Club Class dining made the experience better then had I waited in long lines at the MDR. I have a 16 day cruise this summer on the Caribbean Princess and am hoping for the best but at least I'm aware of the issue's everyone has mentioned.
  12. I don't know about NCL, I did it at the pier, but it's not necessary to be medically trained to see if the two lines appear on the test strip.
  13. Can we bring a test kit with us and take it at the embarkation pier in front of a crew member. NCL is doing tests at the pier (San Pedro) and it's only 20 minutes until they read the results and let you board.
  14. You enjoyed it but did everyone else? Everyone thinks their child is perfect and they are to their own parents and grandparents. You are entitled to bring any age child on your cruise but Don was just reminding you to be mindful of those around you.
  15. DO NOT hang a curtain between you and the baby. If the baby chokes or turns blue or had a medical emergency (seizure, allergic reaction ) you need to be a parent and intervene. Although a 15 month old won't be able to open the door to the balcony an older child could and the parents would be obvious so the suggestion of a curtain is dangerous for those 2 reasons.
  16. On the three ships I've had Club Class the entrance and seating was on the Starboard side of deck six. On the Caribbean and Grand Princess they are on the same side as the window suites which is my usual choice of cabins on starboard side.
  17. The connecting cabin is not a big deal to me. Under the pool is horrible. It happened to me once and the noise in the early morning of setting up the chairs was loud and continuous. Since you used a TA call them and insist they get you back to your old cabin or something more suitable.
  18. So if your young child decided to go out on the balcony after you hung that curtain how could you supervise them, especially young children. Sounds a bit dangerous to my way of thinking.
  19. Seems the stock continues to decline due to heavy debt.
  20. I thought it was horrible and sent my dish back 3 times to get cooked. As mentioned the location is also not so nice in a public area. There are some who may like it but not me. I see it going south the way Share did.
  21. They plug them in by the elevator so they're not really in the hallway.
  22. Where did you find that shuttle from Seattle to Vancouver? That's a very long bus ride of 142 miles.
  23. Sounds like a bad situation. Can you mom walk into the cabin leaving the scooter in the hallway. Can she use a walker from the door to inside the cabin? The doors are the same in all the categories that are not accessible so it's doubtful something can be done after boarding.
