  1. My RL experience was switching out the mini-bar did not result in a room service charge on Sapphire Princess August and September b3b (four swaps). I did not order elite tea, however, so can't give you RL comments on that.
  2. Great news from this fellow brewed-coffee drinker: I had grounds in the bottom of my first cup in Horizon Court on the Sapphire Princess this past cruise! I too was grossly disappointed that Princess had done away with the coffee cards as I relied on International Café for daily brewed coffee. I'd read that Princess has contracted with Lavazza Coffee - much to my surprise that seems to be the source for ALL coffee on board, including Horizon Court! Hooray! I don't know how quickly it is being offered on ships fleetwide, but as of August 16th, it is definitely on the Sapphire Princess!
  3. Thanks! Thought I had done it properly - am always learning something new. 😊

Reinstated DROs that I realized had been dropped during cut and paste operation. Still could use help with DRO name spelling on both Discovery and Enchanted, as well as missing Cruise Director on Crown and Grand, and Entertainment Director on Diamond.

  6. I can confirm that at the moment Crab Shack is being offered from 12:00p-1:30p in Savoy Dining Room two days of the seven-day Alaska itineraries.
  7. Actually, you can look at a full(er)-sized version on your larger device through Ocean Concierge while you’re onboard. Open Ocean Concierge either from the app or using your preferred browser and using shipname.princess.com and choose More in the bottom right corner. From there, choose Itinerary, which then shows the list of your ports of call, and when you click on the individual port names, that brings up the link to download a PDF version of the port guides. Voila! HTH!
  8. Hey, now there's a Radiqal concept. 🙄
  9. If you have a Wild Birds Unlimited store near you, they have a variety of binoculars specific to bird-watching and can help you figure out what's a good fit at your particular price point. Enjoy! I do not think you will regret packing binoculars to take with you, regardless of which ones you pick!
  10. You called it. It was indeed on the Sapphire Princess. It was the first time we'd booked Princess Plus as it appeared that it was going to be good value for us. Once onboard, however, we discovered that our two preferred varietals had increased in price and are now over the $12 limit. 🙄
  11. I have this PDF file from November 7 2022 when we booked Princess Plus, which was listed as "Plus Beverage Package - 50" under Onboard Services. We were charged the difference for all glasses of wine over $12. Plus Beverage Package (prior to February 20, 2023).pdf
  12. Princess still uses paper Bingo cards, so if she's got her own lucky dauber, encourage her to pack it! (They do sell daubers onboard, but I can't guarantee how lucky those might be. 😉)
  13. Yea, I probably posted that thought too quickly... I don't think I could get that one by DH. 🤭
  14. and then you can change with your stateroom-mate for another 3-day rotation
  15. We were with him on the Grand in May, so likely he has jumped ship. Lucky Crown guests!
  16. I have to admit that I'm rather glad to have been "forced" into, as you say, unlimited comfort and air conditioning. 😉
  17. You mean stalking crew members to find out where you could get free wifi on shore to save your ship minutes? 🤭
  18. With all of the "this was included when you booked your package but now it's not" nonsense going on, I just wondered where Princess corporate had decided to draw the line.
  19. There's an additional wrinkle to this whole Princess Plus -> Princess Plus - 50 -> Princess Plus - 60 transition that I haven't seen anyone ask about yet: what happens with Princess Plus bookings that were made prior to the increased prices for wi-fi and crew appreciation?
  20. - Thank you as in, "thank you for stating the obvious" NOT "thank you for sticking it to the crew" 🥴
  21. I got to thinking after I posted my last comment that I do not in any way want to dissuade you from considering an Alaska cruise out of Vancouver. In years past, I have very much looked forward to going to Vancouver and found it a great city to get around and spend some time in. I sincerely hope that the issues we encountered at the terminal in May have been mostly resolved by now. 😊
  22. I can confirm from experience that going to Alaska through Vancouver this year in particular has been extraordinarily frustrating. You're right, at least when we were there in May passengers for all ships were being funneled through the same queue. After clearing security and customs, some ships were ready to board but passengers on the ships that weren't ready yet were sent to another section with folding chairs (no PES priority accommodation). Then, as ships were cleared for boarding, the port folks were calling out which ship was now ready, but naturally, as people were seeing others stand up and leave, they decided that meant their ship was ready too, and mass chaos ensued. Also, on turnaround day, I discovered that Princess was providing passengers with a "Continue Journey Card" instead of the "In-Transit Passenger" card we've received in the past. When I presented the new card to the security person standing by the "In-Transit Passengers" sign in the terminal, he looked at it and said, "I need a card that says you are an in-transit passenger." 🙄 [Just one more line item on my once-you're-onboard-you'll-be-happy-to-be-back-on-Princess list.] I'll find out next month if anyone acted on my suggestion to Guest Services once I reboarded to either go back to the "In-Transit Passenger" cards or inform port personnel that "Continue Journey Card" is the equivalent. SMH.
