Odyssey - Europe 9/19/24-10/5/24 - LIVE 🚞🚌🚢 ✈️🚐
Mrs.Dukes replied to Denversail's topic in Royal Caribbean International
We were in Italy after a cruise this summer, and we took the train from Venice to Milan Centrale. From Milan Centrale you can take the Metro to the Duomo stop. We opted for a taxi because we had a good amount of luggage. -
We were on the Pursuit in July. I thought the food was very good. The service was truly excellent!

The tubs were definitely tall. I am fairly short and it was a little difficult. I just made sure to hold on when getting out f the tub. The short flight of stairs was a little annoying with the luggage, but not too bad.

I’m not really certain about the area you’re looking for, but we recently stayed at Hotel Jazz. It was a nice hotel, and seemed pretty convenient.

Train from Amsterdam port to Paris
Mrs.Dukes replied to Lojay2's topic in British Isles/Western Europe
I’ve taken the train in the opposite direction, Paris to Amsterdam. It was very easy. As I recall, about a 3 1/2 hour trip. -
We just came back from a European cruise. I wanted to have some Euros with me in advance as I needed to pay for a tour in cash on our 2nd day there. I found out that I could get them from my local AAA office, pretty decent rate, but I did have to order from them a few days in advance. While there, I needed some more cash to pay for some tours, I used the atm at a bank and my one checking account atm card doesn’t charge any fees, so that was the best rate.

We are going to Aqualina tonight so I appreciate your comments, particularly about the desserts. I agree, it was very hot today in Monaco. We enjoyed visiting the city, and walked a lot. I also got something about redeeming some free nights. Definitely thinking about it. Hope the rest of your cruise is great.

We were at Windows at around 7:45 am and at that point it was fairly empty! Funny how a short difference in time makes a difference!

We are on this cruise too. Had a wonderful day today. Took an independent tour to Aix-en-Provence and Cassis. Really nice. Had a great dinner last night at Prime C. Really enjoying the cruise so far.

In Copenhagen, we’ve stayed twice at the Absalon Hotel which we liked. In Dublin, last year we stayed at both The Mont and Buswells. We thought they were both nice hotels.

Thank you @Norwaylady for sharing your cruise with us, I always enjoy reading about your adventures. Great list of future cruises! I’m especially interested in your Galapagos sailing. We have sailed on Azamara a few times, we really enjoy it, in fact we’ll be on the Pursuit shortly. They have a lot of interesting itineraries. We’ve always found their food and service to be very good, the staff is wonderful. We like the smaller ship size. The one thing that I think is not as good as on the larger ships is their entertainment. Glad to see your nephew had a great first cruise!

We stayed in 6073 on Pursuit and thought it was good.

Yes, I totally understand that. I am just trying to be prepared for how to meet my tour. I have no plans on blaming Azamara if it changes, I know it’s not up to them, but, you’re right, people in general do often blame the cruise line for things that are out of their control.

Azamara customer service did finally respond to my email (took almost 3 weeks.) They said we are scheduled to dock in town at the Juliette cruise terminal, however port authorities can change our docking location. Thank you to everyone who took the time to respond to my question, I appreciate it.
-
Thank you again @aliaschief for your pictures and comments about the world cruise, I’ve really enjoyed it. Truly seems like an awesome experience!
-
Thanks. I did call Azamara, the rep didn’t know. She sent me the generic port information for Marseille. I also emailed customer service and haven’t received a response. Very frustrating.

Really enjoying both of your pictures. Looks like an amazing place! -
I also chose the “None of the above “ option for the same reason. The 7-night USD price at the cheapest price they quoted was almost double what we paid for a 12 night Med cruise this summer in a balcony cabin.
