They will open if you request to be opened. If you buy a bucket don’t do it in a Fl port. You will be charged the sales tax and that wipes out any savings. Sometimes if you ask the BT they won’t charge it until the ship leaves that port. $20 for a drink pack is very cheap. When was the last time you sailed on NCL? Same happened to us. Move up min was $1500 pp to a SS from AQ. On the 2nd day of a 7 day cruise we’re got a call that we could move up for $1500 pp. For us the move up min was too much and now 2 days were gone, no thanks. The only reason we inquired was to see if there would be cheaper price on board since there were many SS available a few days before the cruise. It would have had to be a fantastic deal for us to do it. = Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

The dinner menus in Luminae aren’t worth $35 pp. it would be a better choice of dining in a specialty restaurant for a few dollars more. If you want to join them for desert meet at Cafe Al Bacio, or in the buffet after dinner. Better would be in a lounge for after dinner cocktails Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

Was the price of what you paid for the lunch on Cayman in US dollars? I read in another thread that a group of 4 paid $140 for their lunch and drinks. They didn’t think it was too bad until they seen their Credit Card charge and it was over $200. Want they thought was US dollars was the price in Cayman. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

Don’t get those cabins next to the Celebrity Suites in the middle of the ship. Unless they have been changed during the redo those balconies are almost a triangle. Take a regular balcony and bisect it with hypotenuse line going from corner to corner making 2 triangles. That is how the balcony is shaped. Very small The balconies on deck 11 don’t offer and protection from the elements. There is no covering over them. Some like all the sun and an open sky but when it rains the balcony is in the rain. There is an outside stair case at the very aft that goes up to the sun deck above and also down to the Sunset Bar that is one deck below. The shower door in those cabins don’t seal very well. We always grabbed a bunch of towels from the pool deck to lay across the bottom to restrain the water. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

Celebrity use to have a Plus package. It is no longer offered. I think it caused too much confusion and work for the cabin attendants. We had it 4 times and each time we had to inform the attendant that we had it. None of them knew what was supposed to be in it. We showed them the description and even had to get Guest Relations involved. Doing all of that it was still hit or miss on what we got everyday in our cabin. The advantage for us was the Casino credit and the wine tasting. Depending on how many days the cruise was the casino credit was more than the cost of the package. The wine tasting event was never the same. One time it was the Around the World wine event and another it was Wine and Food Pairing. The other 2 were the same that is included for the Captains Club. Our server in Luminae didn’t recommend that Duck dish by Daniel Boulud Our assistant server did recommend his Pill desert. I wish we knew about it early in the cruise. Those nutty things remind me of the nuts on an ice cream drum stick. The other that is unique to Beyond breakfast in Luminae is the potato waffle. It became one of our favorites. It is pictured with a side of bacon It has 2 potato waffles, cheese, bacon and a egg made the way you want. Something else that we found on the Beyond during our cruise was that the Gelato is now free at the ice cream bar in the buffet. They only have one flavor per day and honestly can’t tell the difference between that and the ice cream they serve. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

I think the door banging is because of the strong magnets that hold the lav door closed and the closet doors closed No matter how hard you try when the door is about closed it will pull from your hand and slam We solved the lav door problem by hanging a robe or towel on the door and pull it across the edge of the door when closing the door. There is 100% chance that she will not be on the Summit. Why would you think she would be on the Summit if she was on the Beyond? We have been on over 40 cruises on X and never had the same Sommelier. They could be in between contracts, different ship, dining room and etc. Even sailing on the same ship we never had the same one but we have had the same server a few times, Vinod, Felix and Captain Kirk If she was on the Beyond she will still remain there or be on the Ascent when it sails. We did the Jazz cruise a few years ago on the Equinox. They call it that because the ship is in NOLA during the Jazz festival. The Jazz festival is at a horse race track. There are many tented areas with jazz groups playing all day and a main feature later in the evening. We seen Harry Connick Jr,as the main feature. It makes for a long day. We went on Sat. It got rained out on Sun. There was nothing special on the cruise except for the addition of Absinthe at the WCB to serve a Green Fairy or Sazerac. The day we were at the Festival I heard a group came on board and did a little show in the atrium. Other than that there were no jazz groups on board. It was basically a regular cruise that spent 2 nights in NOLA during the Jazz Fest. There were also many bars in the area during the night that had jazz groups playing. There was a cover charge to get in. if you google NOLA Jazz Fest there is a site that lists the acts. I think the fest lasts 3 weekends. X is there for one. The ship was open 24/7 while in the port. Recently got off of the Beyond. We were in a SS. There were a few nights when the cabin creaked. It didn’t wake us up or kept us from passing out. 😱. If you drink enough it won’t affect you. 🤗 I don’t think it is anything more than what we have experienced on other ships. Too many are making an issue out of nothing. I don’t want to list my cabin number as I don’t want Celebrity to know my screen name and real name. I am in good standings with them and don’t want to jeopardize it. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

No lists. We meet our butler. We don’t have any requests except for maybe a coffee in the morning. We don’t need him to make reservations as we don’t need any. He gives us his card and says if we want anything give him a call. We called him once for coffee in the morning, Got it in 5 minutes. Never used him for anything else. Been on both. If you like a frosted Martini Bar and the Sky Lounge go for the Reflection The Martini bar on the Beyond is like being in an arena. It is in the center of the atrium and always has a band playing there. It is very busy and noisy. The bar top isn’t frosted. Not a deal breaker. There are many other bars. We spent more time at the World Class bar or Eden bar The infinite balcony is unique. Some love it others hate it Blu is larger because there are more AQ passengers. Still great service. Beyond has a lot of nice features and is totally different. I would vote for the Beyond because you have never been on the E class and you need to experience it. Think M class VS S class. Both have their own personalities and pluses. ; You will never know until you try it BEYOND Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

If you book a Sky suite the bed is always near the bath and you get a real balcony on the Edge class Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

We just got off of the Beyond. The burger didn’t seem any different. It was still very good. Sometimes it may be because you had a burger somewhere else that is that you are now comparing to like Fatburger, Bubba’s 33, Yard House, Five Guys, and etc. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

We departed from the Beyond on April 2. I think all of the issues that people weren’t happy with have been resolved. The liquor, and wine supply doesn’t seem to be the issue as it was. We never went to the buffet during the evening but it appeared to be the same full buffet as it was before for breakfast and lunch. As always the staff was fantastic. I don’t think there was a shortage of staff anywhere. There were always drink servers in the areas you would expect them , even in the theater before the show started. Whenever our wine glass was getting low at dinner some one was there to fill it. My only complaint is that the Captain gave us an extra hour on the 2nd day but took it back on the last one. 😢😱🙄🤗 Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

YES! The crew told me that she never pushes her position. They love her. They say when she travels as a passenger she demands to be treated like everyone else. If they give her special treatment or priorities they would be in trouble. She is a regular passenger and wants to travel like one and wants to see all passengers treated the same. From what I have seen I am sure that the other officers are the same. A few years ago I was standing in line at Cafe al Bacio. The Captain was behind me. I looked at him and offered him to go ahead of me. He declined and then offered to pay for our drinks that I also declined as I had a beverage package. No special privileges. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

Currently on the Beyond in a suite. =I am also Elite plus and don’t expect and special treatment or priority. There are 3100 passengers and 485 are elite plus or above. Everyone gets treated the same except for the obnoxious that think they are special. There are many BTs and other staff members that I know from other cruises. We talk about stuff and always get the same answer, everyone is treated the same and they don’t care or notice what category you are in and that is the way I would expect it as we very rarely sail in a suite. Captain Kate left the ship and is on leave. She plans on coming back as a passenger. The crew said she is a passenger like the everyone else no special treatment. 🤷‍♂️ PS. Those in a suite and elite or above get priority on the elevators and in the buffet. NOT. 😱🙄 Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

Who did you book thru? If not X contact them. If X I would call them. There is probably a glitch in their system. It happens a lot. X has always treated us more than fair and we have got a bait and switch or price increase. On our last cruise we received a refund of a few dollars for port taxes.
