I thought she finally went in for the shoulder operation that she needed from always patting herself on the back She would stop just to tell you that she had to go because she is so busy. Why even stop and interrupt us if you don’t want to talk? Not a fan. There are many other better CDs and they don’t tell you how great they are. They show you. Same as others. When I find the cruise I want and category I book it. If it goes down in price you can get a adjustment. You can always cancel and lose only $100 pp. For me that is cheaper than paying for the refundable price or insurance. I don’t book with the intentions of canceling. I don’t take the cruise insurance as I get a yearly travel insurance policy that covers me for what I need. Or I can say 1:59 am on Sunday night when they lower the prices for a weekend special that last for 3 minutes. 🤗🙄. It is like the stories you would hear about playing the slot machines between 3 and 4 am because the casinos adjust the machines to pay off more during those hours because not many are playing and they need to pay off to keep the winning payoff percentage within the gaming commission regulations. Years ago we were in the Solarium and there was a drink server and regularly got served drinks The next day we wanted a drink and didn’t see any servers. I seen a officer and asked about service. He said he would send one over. Nothing happened. Finally I decided to go to the bar. I seen the beverage manager later in the day and told him about service there. He said that they stopped service there because passengers were complaining about constantly being asked if they wanted a drink. I told him that they should have put a notice in the paper of at least a sign saying that there would be no beverage service in that area and go to the bar. He said that they don’t need to let passengers know everything that they do. I said that is why passengers give bad reviews about service because they don’t know why there isn’t any. He said that they can’t control that and I shouldn’t condemn the whole department because of one incident. I said that is all it takes because the survey is for the whole department. I did that too with a GMail Account. One day I was deleting everything in the Junk folder. I hit the delete on My IPad. The IPad shut down and I lost everything in every folder. I could not recover any of it. Luckily I kept copies of all of our cruises in separate vanilla folders. I don’t trust anything in the cloud. i also want a real card to get into my cabin. I think it was 2011. The ship was one of their newest. I also bought 2 of their CDs. The Christmas one and Having A Ball. Was planning on buying some more from his website The presentation he gave was fantastic. Before seeing that I didn’t realize what a big Jazz promoter or drummer that he was. I knew he was good from listening to him play and after seeing that presentation I knew why. Playing in the ensemble lounge was the right place. He did have a late show in Sky Lounge one night and it was crowded. Happy crusing 🌊🚢🇺🇸

She was explaining to me that not all suite guests have all of the perks as many are sail only and that is what showed on my account. Passengers get confused between amenities and perks included in suites. After I showed her my invoices she made made a few phone calls and was put on hold a long time. She was very helpful. Ask at Guest Relations. They will tell you and also give a breakdown for the automatic daily gratuities. If you use ship board credit for the bar and dining rooms it is pooled. SBC for the Butler, and cabin attendant is theirs. I was told that the servers and BTs get paid out of the gratuity from the drink pack for each drink served. A BT told me that he compares his paycheck with others and it may amount to a few dollars different between them. If anyone sells a drink pack or upgrade they get the gratuity from that sale. That is why you see the hawks at the begging of the cruise trying to sell or upgrade the drink pack. I never buy from them because if I need to upgrade I want my favorite BT to get rewarded not someone I may never see again. Same with the wine steward selling a wine experience. Cash given to any of them is theirs At some bars the BTs will share the cash tips with the others working at that bar. You will see this at the Martini Bar where the money is put into a bucket. Some do it at the WCB, and Eden. However it is shared the employees probably end up within a few dollars if shared or not as the more in the pool the more they all get. I totally agree I worked 7 days a week 10 to 12 hours a day doing physical labor in very poor working conditions. Extremely hot or cold, outside , inside, foundry cast iron dust, breathing very toxic fumes from chrome plating. I still feel that I was fortunate to have the opportunity to do that and earn a great income, and still have good health. Many others work just as hard or harder in worse conditions and more hours and hardly survive. I feel very fortunate to be able to now enjoy taking a few cruises in either AQ or a suite and enjoy my efforts. I also like to share my good fortune with others to help make their life better. We always give the extra gratuity at the end of the cruise. We gave them a envelope with the extra gratuity and a note thanking him for their great service and etc. We also make a comment on the attention to detail card We have sailed a lot, more than many but not as much as others. Talking to the employees they say when they are given a tip upfront they feel as if it is a bribe. Many don’t like it because most that do it now expect (demand) special and extra attention for the rest of the cruise. Notice that I mentioned most not all. They take pride in their profession and give the same great service to all. We have always received great service doing to that way. I think the personal feel better getting the extra at the end because they know that they were appreciated for their service instead of being paid for it upfront. Hopefully they will accept blanking out my other investments on my statement and account number. I don’t want the, to know that info. I want to make sure that I get it. It is a B2B. If it means anything to you the play with promotional funds doesn’t count towards casino points. The play with the winnings does because the winnings is considered your money. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

i showed them my email receipt, screen shots, and the confirmation. They said that didn’t mean anything. They would have to confirm it with Corporate. They said to purchase drinks as if I had the package and if I had the package they would be covered. I didn’t do that as I didn’t want to be charged for drinks if they claimed that I didn’t have it. I had my wife order drinks. I was still in port and and could use my cell phone. I called my TA and hopefully they were available on Sat. I left a message and also sent a email. It was finally resolved around 6 pm. We were in our cabin getting ready for the evening and they called my cabin. They claimed it was my TAs fault and the TA blamed the cruise line. The confusion was caused because we changed cabins. Not to a different category but just location. I told them that was all BS as my wife’s card had the Premium Bev Pack. Strange that one person would have it and the other didn’t. On our last cruise in Feb. we were in a SS. We were in the retreat lounge and we couldn’t log onto the internet. I went to the retreat host and was told that we didn’t have it. I said it is included in the perks for the suite. She said that perks aren’t always included in SS and looked up our account. She said that we were sail only. I told her that we would not book a suite as sail only. I showed her my emails, screen shots and invoice for the cruise. She made many calls and finally agreed that we had the perks. She said issue was we did a lift and shift and it didn’t get transferred. It involved $800 extra in SBC, the internet, gratuities and the premium drink pack. A lot of money was involved. It didn’t make sense to sail only in a SS. The SBC and Gratuities amounted to more than the additional cost over sail only. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

On one cruise I had prepaid for a premium bev pack upgrade. When I got my sailing card there was no bev pack listed on it. I had to go to GR to get it corrected. There was a very long line. There was a employee going thru the line trying to speed things up by trying to take care of some simple problems. He had a paper pad and was writing down information and then those passengers left. The couple in front of me were in line to request a upgrade if available. The gatekeeper took their information and they left the line. I told him my problem and he said that he really couldn’t help as all he was doing was basically helping with minor issues and mostly taking info from passenger that were in line to ask for a upgrade. I said to him to put my name down but I still needed to see a rep. He took my info. I figured as long as I was in the line it didn’t hurt to ask for one. I think all of those names made it into the circular file as soon as he got a chance. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

I wouldn’t want to jeopardize their job. I don’t think they are really allowed to do that. It isn’t that difficult to get bottles of water, beer and etc from a bar as you are going back to your cabin. I keep a few empty water bottles. I will get a glass of bourbon or wine on the way back and then fill the bottle with it for later in the evening. One for the bourbon and one for the wine. My wife likes the wine and I like the bourbon. It is nice sitting on the balcony before retiring sipping on a glass of bourbon with the nightly chocolate glazing at the stars and sea. Many times while lounging out there in the recliner and footstool I will fall asleep or most probably just pass out. Wake up and see that most of the bourbon is still in the glass and notice that it is almost time for the sunrise. 🤷‍♂️🤗 The joys of having a nice balcony with good loungers. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

We were on a Jazz cruise on Celebrity that spent 2 nights in NOLA. We went to the Jazz fest for one day. It was a nice experience as we could stay there all day and then hit the Jazz clubs in Nola at night. The ship itself didn’t really have much Jazz except during the one evening when we’re were at the Jazz Fest. They had some group come on board and play in the atrium. It was called a Jazz cruise because they were there during the Jazz fest. It wasn’t a charter cruise. If you see this offered again I would recommend it. The WCB did have the Green Fairies and Sazeracs. Other bars had the hurricane but that was the extent of what they did for the Jazz Fest Cruise. I would do it again but it isn’t a dedicated cruise like the one you are looking at. Years ago we were on the Silhouette. There was a fantastic group playing in the Ensemble Lounge. It was Les DeMerle and his wife Bonny. We spent every night there listening to them. Sad that many didn’t appreciate who was on board. A BT that we became friends with because he was on many cruises that we were on told us that the Classic was the best value because about 90% of the drinks that people order are in the Classic. Even though you have a Premium Pack the drinks will be made with well spirits unless you request a premium The only exception is drinks ordered from the Martini Bar Menu and WCB. None of them are covered by the Classic. If you order a Martini flight you will pay the full price even if you have a premium pack, you can’t pay the difference. You can order common style martinis at the Martini Bar that are covered by the Classic. It will be in a small glass using well spirits, but they won’t duplicate the Premium using well spirits ex. You can’t order a desert Martini using well spirits. One time they told me that they didn’t have any small glasses. I said that is fine make it and use a Manhattan glass. He said it wouldn’t be a martini. I said it will still taste the same and have the same effect. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

We were in a SS and sitting in the Retreat Lounge. This very old passenger came in around 11 pm with the Celebrity hand bag. He went to the cooler and loaded it up with beer and walked out. I asked the Host if it was allowed. She said this is the 3rd week he has been on the ship and does that every night and didn’t say anymore about it. I don’t know what he was doing with it.
