  1. Cost is for the cabin. The price is usually shown as average price pp based on double occupancy. As shown in the attached screen shot that shows the average priced pp with the almighty * that indicates it is based on double occupancy If you could get a cabin and sail solo for the same average price as two in a cabin why would anyone book a cabin with 2 in it? I would book a cabin for myself and one for my wife instead of sharing one for the same price pp. We could get adjoining cabins, or separate decks, or different side of the ship for the extra space , convenience, and options. We would have our own lav, TV, closet space and etc and still share a cabin as needed. If everyone did that the ship would also sail at 1/2 capacity. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  2. The app is not really user friendly. It is difficult and confusing. They need to make it easier to navigate Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  3. Look on the menus that are on the app for your cruise. I think that would be the best way to know for sure, subject to change. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  4. When anyone books a cruise or a hotel you are paying for the room or cabin. 1 or 2 persons don’t really make a difference you are paying for the space. That is why the cruise lines will promote 3rd or 4th passenger sails free. If you rent a house or an apartment it doesn’t matter how many are living there. You are paying for the space. If utilities are included you may have to pay extra pp. I think a person traveling solo gets double the CC points. Therefore If I am paying for the cabin even though there are 2 people in it why shouldn’t I get double the points? I think that is not fair because I am paying the same price for the cabin and have to share it with someone else. A solo person gets the cabin to themselves. Look at the revenue being lost with only one person in a cabin. The gratuities pp, a drink pack if purchased that is required for all in the cabin, shore excursions, specialty restaurants for two instead of one, gaming, and etc. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  5. Is Bingo fun/worth it? Almost the same question. Some like it some don’t. If you win it is worth it. If you lose it isn’t. It is a fun as because it is an interactive type game even if you aren’t the contestant. Everyone playing has a chance to win something instead of bingo where the winner takes all. There are many opportunities to win something. I won $5 in free casino play. Played VP and hit a win for $500 Sometimes people that aren’t chosen to be the contestant win more by matching the numbers on their cards. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  6. I thought that was where she got her design ideas. My first impression of the new Edge Class cabins along with some of the public seating was that they purchased everything from Ikea. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  7. Were you aware that Concierge passengers have the private lunch In the MDR on embarkation day? Rather limited menu but you get to sit down, relax, and be served instead of dashing around the buffet. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  8. On our recent cruise on the Constellation in Mar we never stopped at the Martini bar. It was always packed especially from 5 to 7 during the Elite HH because those drinks are available there. It was the same at the other bars. When you have over 1000 elite and above on almost every cruise it isn’t going to change and will get worse. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  9. If you are Zentih you should be able to have the Retreat Personnel correct it as part of the benefits is access to the Retreat Lounge and print a new card. I would think that most servers know that Zentih gets the Premium drink pack. Don’t waste a lot of time in the long lines at GR on embarkation day. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  10. If you used the Elite discount you have to use the free minutes first. If not you don’t need to use them at all and can transfer by giving the user and password Doing that can be very dangerous. You can log on and log off saving the minutes but you need to make sure that you are logged off and not just turning off. If you are logged on and think you are discounted you can very easily exceed the free minutes. You will be charged per minute over. Can be a very expensive lesson to the person giving away their minutes and the other party. I know that people have exceeded their minutes by mistake of not logging off and the employee in the internet lounge will waive the excess fee. It may be hard to explain if you give them away to someone. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  11. Experienced the same. Was in the Caribbean. My wife was showering and I was sitting in the veranda area, bifold doors closed, and window down. My wife came out of the shower and started to yell at me because the cabin was like a steam sauna and she couldn’t dry off. I closed the window. Showered and it was still impossible to dry off. We did as best as we could and left the cabin to go to a bar and then dinner. They may be great for cooler weather cruises but don’t work in the Caribbean. The IV would concept would work if the bifold doors sealed better and when completely closed with the window down the AC would still work. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  12. Take your own conditioner. My with and I have found the stuff on the ship leaves a lot of static in our hair. Don’t try to dine in a large group at the same time. Is it really necessary? As the previous poster mentioned you normally only talk to the people next to you. With large tables it becomes very loud and service is slower because of you are always waiting for the others to place their orders, and finish their courses. Best to dine at a table of 6 max. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  13. There use to be an issue with those cabins on the starboard side under the gym because of the treadmills. On some ships they have moved them to the bow section. I have also seen where they put them out of use in the early morning. If it is an issue during you cruise talk to GR and they may do that for you. If you have are a captain club member you should be able to get an upgrade to a AQ1if one is available. They are under the pool area and could be noisy during the day time. Many also don't like them because of the large overhang. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  14. The set of tickets you purchase are for one session. We have been on cruises where they have had 2 sessions. If offered you could buy a set of cards for each session. i bought 4 in my wife’s name. We were able to choose the session we wanted to use the cards. You cannot split the cards of a set between the sessions. When you redeem the prepaid package you play all of them in that session. There is a 2 hour window before the game to redeem or purchase cards. The line gets very long. You have to have the sea pass card that has the name of the person that the cards were purchased in. I found out the hard way. Waited in line and was told that I needed my wife’s card. Had leave and hunt down my wife as she was saving our seats. Was told that I could just comeback to the front of the line. Ended up joining many others that had the same problem. It was like standing in line again. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  15. When we were on the Beyond for 2 cruises in Feb we never had a chance to use the Solarium. The chair hogs had all of the chairs and loungers. We spent most of the time in other areas and a lot in our cabin using the IV. Happy cruising cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  16. It has happen to me so give this a try. I would look at booking a cruise and most cabins were greyed out. I finally found the problem. The box for handicapped room kept getting checked during my search. Another issue is sometimes if you are booking more than 2 to a cabin some will be greyed out. Happy cruising. 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  17. It depends on what you would consider vibration. We have stayed in the aft SS and other aft cabins. We have felt a constant fishtail effect when sailing. It can be irritating and nauseating especially if you had a few drinks or sensitive to motion.it also depends on the speed it. One time there was a vibration that was so bad that the glass vibrated off of the table. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  18. I know many think that the move up is a great deal. Personally I have never seen it worth pursuing . I paid for a cabin where I am comfortable with the price that is in my budget. Paying more than I wanted because it is a bargain to me isn’t a bargain. That is my input and opinion. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  19. I apply door murals. Dresses up the hallway Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  20. Exactly. Example: If you booked a cruise for $1000 pp guaranteed. And now that same category guaranteed is $1500 and AQ is now $200 more or $1700 pp you would have to pay $700 more pp. The difference of the $1000 you booked at and the new price for AQ. It should be able to be done as you are upgrading. You will not get the upgrade for $200 more, the difference between new price of $1500 and $1700. Hope it clarifies it and makes sense. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  21. It is best and easy to figure it out yourself. Every cruise has different demographics. The atmospheres in the bars also change with the time of day. There is only the two of you. Easy to wander around and find what suits you. Many of the bars do get crowded before dinner because of the Elite HH and get very loud. Some like the Magic Carpet or Sunset but both are outside and do not appeal to those that are ready for dinner but there are nice views instead of looking at walls. Can be nice if still in port and also for sail away . Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  22. Sales are always suspect. Is it really a sale or a promotion? It is like the stock market., past performance doesn’t indicate what will be or happen. Book your drink pack. If there is a better deal you can always cancel and rebook. I have been able to do that but who knows? Things and rules may change. That is also what my wife told me. I once said something about some rules she told me when we got married. I wanted to do something according to her “rules” and she said they changed. 🤷‍♂️😱🙄 Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  23. Would you have rather be waiting in the terminal? I would gladly be able to get on board and be able to drop off my carry on in the cabin and then explore and enjoy the ship and my drink package. Celebrity also gives boarding times but many don’t honor it. They show up and board when they want. Just be happy that they let you on board ASAP. Maybe I didn’t understand what your post was about but I don’t see any reason to be disappointed. In the past you couldn’t get to your cabin to drop off your carry on. It is now a big improvement. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  24. I have experienced the same. We were doing a B2B, A SS, AQ. I went to GR during the first and expressed interest in upgrading for the 2nd. I seen that there were a lot of suites still available on their website. On the 3rd day of the next cruise we got a message that an upgrade was available. It was also for more than the price prior to sailing and wasn’t prorated. We already missed 2 days and were situated in our cabin. Plus the difference in cost was the reason I didn’t originally book it. No thanks Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  25. Don’t buy any Ulu knives. Take gloves, hat and ear muffs for standing outside when looking at the glaciers and ice flows Dress in layers. It will be chilly in the morning and hot later in the day Take a rain jacket. Don’t constantly sit by a window watching for wild life. There really isn’t any to be seen when the ship is sailing. If there is there will be an announcement. Chances are you will be on the wrong side of the ship. If you want to see wild life take an excursion. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
