  1. Mindful of post #73, I think you meant... 'What an adventure!".
  2. Book now, I believe cruise prices are 'recession resistant'.
  3. Gonna be tricky.... https://help.cbp.gov/s/article/Article-74?language=en_US
  4. This map/link was prepared by CC member @AlohaLivin a few years ago. Maybe you'll find it useful: https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=1YDhiMct1vVrt_lpS_T4zJ_yD3G31SoAL&usp=sharing
  5. That's an unusual itinerary. Are you visiting a country that may require proof of vaccination?
  6. Current Celebrity protocols... https://www.celebritycruises.com/ca/healthy-at-sea/international-travel-requirements
  7. Pretty clear to me on the Azamara site that you do not require a pre-boarding test: https://www.azamara.com/int/booked-guests/before-you-board/explore-well-at-sea
  8. If you're going to be stuck in a hotel for a day, the Fairmont Vancouver Airport is a good one to serve out your sentence.
  9. July 1 is Canada Day and it will be busy in the city pretty much all day long. Downtown hotels are likely to be even more expensive than usual. Usualy, there are tons of things to do in Vancouver but much will be closed since it's a national holiday and if all you're looking to do is get off the ship and pre-position yourself for a trip home you may want to consider a hotel near the airport.
  10. If I were you, I'd take the 1130 flight out of Vancouver (arrive a couple of hours before departure) which will provide you with a couple of hours to do the CBP pre-clearance in Toronto. That's plenty of time.
  11. Agreed, but travellers should have an opportunity to reach that conclusion themselves through experience!
  12. Coming through Canada provides an opportunity to sample Tim Hortons coffee and doughnuts.
  13. Fill in the application at the health department web site and when done, the e-mail address to submit will be provided. https://www.hsa.gov.sg/personal-medication/overview
  14. I'm not sure that any pre-cruise testing requirement will exactly mirror the entry requirements for eithe Chile or Argentina. After all, Transatlantic cruises have some pre-cruise requirements that have little to do with the country of departure's current rules.
  15. Maybe you should call Celebrity to sort this one out; I doubt anybody on here will be able to tell you what happened, let alone resolve it.
  16. Expensive. I suppose air conditioning is not a regular feature in UK homes and the winters aren't as severe as here....
  17. The issue with your suggestion is the potential for a carrier change enroute. If the trip was pnly between New York (for example) and BCN, this would probably not be a problem. With travel originating in DFW, it becomes more difficult to stay with one airline or partner which could lead to baggage handling difficulties and gate/terminal changes. For sure, no need to go through Canada.... could connect through FRA or other European cities but the cost and time to do this is not better than a direct flight to BCN from North America.
  18. Looks like you have it all planned out for the 1645 departure... you'll not be able to do the 1150.
  19. Pretty much agree with CruiserBruce although if there are two or more travellers, it may need a wee bit more thinking if the car can be rented for 125 CAD or less. I note the travel is on a Thursday. I looked at Air Canada flights for March 23 (the date does matter) and SAN to YYZ is about 500 CAD, LAX to YYZ is 250 CAD. Also, you can get a flight out of LAX later in the afternoon to allow time for the drive. I wouldn't take the train.
  20. Yes. Air Canada is already taking bookings for mid-October; they open their booking system 350 days in advance.
  21. Excellent observation. And, I said 'about'.
  22. Hey, I don't mind... just copied and pasted from the Princess site. I don't gamble, so I have zero experience/knowledge on laundering OBC at the casino. I guess if I had hundreds of dollars of OBC I'd expand my horizons but I don't get that kind of credit when I cruise.
