  1. You're likely to get $20 bills out of the ATM. Pretty extravagent tipping! Get your money and break a couple of the bills when you get to your hotel.
  2. My understanding was that the limitation (as voted) is for 1,000 passengers per day. If that's the case, the size of the ship isn't the only variable in play.... you could have two ships in port, each with 650 passengers, and there is going to be a counting/co-ordination problem of epic proportion. Pity the harbour master tasked with trying to manage all that.
  3. No. Typically (what has been mostly done in Canada), he has received both doses of a two-dose series (Moderna or Phizer-BioNTech). The second dose, at least 14 days ago. Here are the US requirements: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/proof-of-vaccination.html
  4. Just to be clear, he needs to be fully vaccinated... not just 'had a vaccine'.
  5. The US does not require that he have a booster.
  6. Budget and Hertz have drop-off locations near the cruise port with shuttles to the piers.
  7. Earlier, you said you paid an extra ASD 105 pppd for Princess Plus. The screen shot indicates ASD 50 per day per guest. Am I misunderstanding something?
  8. Why? Are you planning on not tipping them because the package is different for Australian purchasers?
  9. 'New math' would arrive at the same conclusion.
  10. Possibly, but it will be more like a smudge on the horizon. Zero detail.
  11. Venice is a small city and getting around on foot is not difficult, provided you don't have any walking issues. Staying in the Piazzale Roma area provides you with a good choice of hotels at a reasonable rate with minimal fooling around for travel on arrival and departure from Venice. Also, a bit of walking will allow you to see some of the town a bit 'off the beaten track' without actually having to make a special trip to do so.
  12. Knight St. bridge across Fraser River heading in to Vancouver?
  13. It's unlikely you'll need anything more than some light (water resistant) ankle boots.
  14. I'm doing Emerald Princess through Panama Canal next December and can book excursions now through the Princess website.... Manage My Booking.
  15. Hamburg (HAM). Take the train(s) from there to Rostock/Warnemunde. Berlin (BER) is further away but may provide more flight options depending where you are coming in from.
  16. I'm going with CruiserBruce on this one. If no significant price difference, book with the airline operating the aircraft.
  17. Yes, me too. Except those last couple of years under the 'Horn O'Plenty'. Couldn't even give my tickets away!
  18. The Ontario town is properly spelled Lansdowne, not, Landsdowne.
  19. We've done it in the past and had no problem. For now though, with the air transportation system still a bit unstable, we're doing our own and that's usually my preference at any rate.
  20. Even CTV can't get it right... it's Lansdowne, Ontario.
  21. For my card(s), you can't do a lot in the way of disputing the charges until they're actually posted. I think you're going to have to wait a little longer until something happens.
  22. Duty free simply means the item is sold without taxes and duties added. That doesn't mean you can import the items without declaring their value; if you're below your personal exemption then OK. If not, the customs officer may assess duties/taxes.
