  1. Just show up to the maître d' and explain that you are requesting an earlier time or anytime so your child can be in bed at an appropriate time.
  2. For $100 for a 10 day cruise ($10 a day), even if the internet was spotty and drinks were marginal, it is a good deal. You would pay more to have 1 drink a day.
  3. Are Salon and Spa services normally covered by AI? If not, why would you expect the gratuities for these optional services to be included.
  4. Not sure about the Med season right now but on Wind Surf in March, we had about 150 on each of the 7 day legs we were on. Less than half full made it quite nice to be truthful!
  5. With gratuities, the drink package on RCL comes out to about $100 a person a day. If you are telling me you can get your money's worth from this, good for you!!! That equates to 7 $13 dollar drinks a day or less if you supplement with sodas, waters or premium coffee. I know on a 7 day cruise I might be able to achieve this 2-3 times but the other days would be needed to let my liver rest a bit.
  6. He will have absolutely no ground to defend his beliefs based on his Catholic faith, the Pope told everyone to get it.
  7. If I am sailing in the Retreat or AquaClass, I may prefer the E class of the upgraded amenities but for any other cabin, I would say any S class ship. Two primary reasons for choosing S class are Murano and World Class Bar. We also love the original style Martini Bar with the frozen surface (Martini menu on E class is better that S/M class.
  8. This is one of the many reasons I will not book FBC anymore. Maybe if the deal is exceptional for business class but otherwise, no thank you. Hope you two aren't separated but I wouldn't put it past them to make you both middle seat warriors for the flight. I would cancel the flight if i got stuck in the middle seat.
  9. I wish Celebrity would follow RCL's lead and just load 4 drink passes onto your seapass card each day and let you drink them whenever. RCL allows for up to $13 so for X, that would be a $15 dollar drink. If they did this, I would consider booking a Cruise only Fare.
  10. Easiest way to see if you have AI is to log into your cruise planner and go to shore excursions or drink packages and see if it says you have OBC. If not, you booked cruise only....If you have 600 or 800, you have AI.
  11. For that type of savings, booking with FBC makes sense.
  12. Good to know about the one way differences.
  13. Given the amount of cancellations and schedule changes with the airlines, I'm not sure there are any Pro's. Numerous carriers will NOT allow seat selection until final payment which is an instant NO to me. In booking my own flights over the last year, any time a major change happens, I can select any flight and seat (same class of service) for no additional cost. Even when I forgot to acknowledge a change, the airline worked with me and allowed me to change to a far more expensive flight for no charge. Hold and wait times for customer service suck on both sides so that is a wash. With FBC, they will chose the new flights and you may not get the best crack at seat selection. Unless you need an overpriced transfer included, I'm not why anyone would use FBC in this current environment.
  14. Just bring 2 bottles from home. I love my California Cabernet and nothing on any Celebrity ship is really that special. Just rummage through the cellar and bring some of the good stuff. Even with the Premium drink package, we bring wine from home.
  15. For my DW and I, we also upgrade for Martini Bar and World Bar (I could drink a pitcher of Ciroc Tropically Yours'). It's also nice for my DW's sparkling water habit.
  16. This is the exact reason I will not book FBC. The flexibility you have in dealing with the airlines yourself is so much better than relying on FBC. Too many stories of 12-20 hour changes, different airports 40 miles apart and splitting groups of 4 onto 3 different flights. No thank you.
  17. I feel as if I have surrendered my passport of most cruises ending in another country. For our last TA, we handed them over. We two weeks on Windstar out of St. Maarten a couple of months ago and had to surrender them as well.
  18. The enhanced license is a soon to be requirement to fly anywhere (domestically) from the US. If you were going to get a passport card, why not just get the book as well?? It's better to have the passport if you plan on cruising.
  19. I've been tempted to try this on Navigator for our next 3 or 4 day cruise. How does it work in a restaurant like Hooked, can I just order whatever I want or is it one app, one entree and one dessert?
  20. Go back to Oceanview room and then bid on an upgrade when the time comes. You will keep the Elevate and OBC.
  21. I'm sure it was a simple mistake that ended up with the bags being properly loaded onto the ship.
