While overpowering perfume is unpleasant and even can cause allergic reactions, as can peanuts and many other things; smoking, as well as exposure to second and third hand smoke, has serious health risks for everyone. Tobacco use and exposure to smoking is always putting everyone at risk, it’s always unsafe.

Allergic reacts to things like peanuts can kill in minutes which is why so many people carry epi pens

Does anyone know if the Majestic has an indoor or outdoor area where you can smoke a cigar?  The deck plan shows the usual area for Churchill lounge on other Royal Class ships as a Video arcade!  Thanks

unfortunately outdoor. I enjoyed my roll of tobacco on deck 16 at wake view bar.

Just off the Caribbean Princess and the policy that only active slot players are able to smoke was repeatedly ignored. There was a group of 6 people sitting around blocking 3 machines last night who actually said they were just there to smoke when someone asked to use one of them. I wonder how much revenue the casino loses because they are a smoking lounge?

I have told people if they are not going to play a machine they need to move so I can use it. Even in the non smoking area when they are just hanging out watching a friend play

Did it work? One lady refused to.She just sat there logging in and out every 5 or 10 minutes after I asked if I could use a machine if she wasn’t playing. She never played. Of course there were no staff around. Unbelievable but not worth a confrontation

How about the smoking area right next to a bar on deck. Do you feel that smokers have a total right to dominate an entire bar ?

On Grand class ships I've found a smoking area at the forward bar (Tradewinds) on Sun Deck (16). It's by the bar but not in front of the bar. I haven't had an issue with that location. Heck, a lot of folks don't even seem to know there is a bar up there. You have to go up stairs from Lido deck to deck 16 and then head forward from there.

Looking at the deck plans I did find a fair number of other places that serve drinks:

Emerald Princess
Skywalker's
Adagio
Tradewinds Bar (smoking allowed)
Calypso Bar
The Mix
Outrigger Bar
Club Fusion
Explorers
Crooners
Wheelhouse
Casino Bar (smoking allowed)
Speakeasy (smoking allowed)
Vines
IC Bar

Hello,

can anyone confirm where the smoking areas are on Crown Princess?

Thanks,

Mary

Designated area in the casino, Speak Easy cigar lounge, Promenade deck 7 starboard side, Tradewinds bar deck 16 port side. Also check the Princess Patter for your cruise for any changes.

Thank you.  Sounds like our cabin will not be near any smoking areas.     Seems Princess is striking a nice balance between needs of smokers & non-smokers.

Our last few cruise have been aboard the Regal and Enchanted. Back in 2010, I think you could smoke about anywhere outside on the starboard side of the Crown. I don't know where the designated outdoor smoking area about the Ruby are.  Can anyone clue me in about where the approved area are located?

Designated smoking areas are always published in the Princess Patter for the ship you are cruising on.

Additional information.

Deck 7, starboard side is only a small standing area on the promenade aft where the deck narrows to go around the stern of the ship, There is a cigarette disposal unit on the wall.

Casino slots while playing. No smoking at any table games. Casino does smell of smoke.

Deck 16 forward above the Lido pool by the Tradewinds Bar. There are some tables & chairs under the overhang.

Fairly certain there is a smoking area on the aft deck 16 outside of the Adagio Lounge.

Also believe there is a small section of Skywalker's where smoking is permitted in the evening.

Speakeasy cigar lounge by the casino is the only location where cigar and pipe smoking are permitted.

No smoking in any cabin or balcony. Smoking is confined to the areas mentioned and is not permitted in other inside or outside areas of the ship.

By the way. Smoking anywhere on the starboard side of the Crown, which you mention, is incorrect. Smoking areas on the Crown are the same as the Ruby.
