Azamara Cabins Thread

Hi everyone

Managed to find a few moments to update the spreadsheet

If anyone who previously gave info can remember which way their bed faced, it would be good if they could post so I can populate that late addition to our spreadsheet - I looked back at old photos of our rooms for the info

The bed in Journey 8059 faces forward. The bed in Quest 8091 is angled between starboard and aft facing.

Thanks for keeping this up!:)

I went back and copied my original thread.

Cabin Number 6027, forward, starboard side.

Ship Journey

Month/Year sailed Sept. 2012

Would you choose this room again Y/N Yes

Is noise an issue Y/N No

Balcony size Normal/Larger/Smaller Standard size, no obstruction

Head of bed faces aft, foot of bed faces forward. Balcony to the right of the headboard, bathroom is to the left.

Any other comments Great location, near forward elevators.

This is an adjoining cabin so there is only a chair and no loveseat. We had put in a request for the beds to be put together but they were not when we arrived. Our cabin steward took care of it when he did the turndown to make it a queen size bed.

How to find the latest spreadsheet

On the main forum page there is an icon for attachments

This is to the right of the (last page) under ratings

The list of spreadsheets is order of DDMMYY

For this list to be in date order - the date would have to be changed to YYMMDD

Cabin Number 6057 V2 Accessible

Ship Journey

Month/Year sailed May 2014

Would you choose this room again Y

Is noise an issue N

Balcony size Larger

Any other comments - Being an accessible cabin this had both an automatic cabin door and the ability to use as normal. Larger cabin and balcony, roll in shower and no storage in bathroom because of the roll under basin.

Cabin 7116 Azamara Journey fantail cabin with a nice large balcony. However, I wouldn't book again, as soot from the engines got on balcony periodically. But nice panaromic view when we entered Istanbul as you can see both sides of the area from the ship, it was very impressive entrance.

Cabin 6061 was reported here as a strong "NO" on Oct 13 Quest.

6059 earned an OK, and no one has posted an opinion on 6063. This V2 is located a bulkhead-balcony away from 6059 and directly aft, per my 2013 Destination Guide. What am I missing? I'm hoping cabin 6063 isn't a re-branded 6061, with its reportedly noxious smells:eek:

Cabin Number 6091 - CW Owner's Suite

Ship - Journey

Month/Year sailed - October 2014

Would you choose this room again - Y

Is noise an issue - N

Balcony size - Large. Table, five chairs, footstool, two small side tables, two loungers.

Any other comments - Very quiet. Had no vibration issues that had been reported elsewhere. Much soot on balcony one morning, but the whole deck was washed down afterwards. Lots of wardrobe and cupboard space. I thought the cabin was in excellent condition. I was probably one of the last occupants before being refurbished.

Stateroom: 8032

Ship: Journey

Month/Year sailed: October 2014

Would you choose this room again: Yes

Is noise an issue: No

Balcony size: Normal

Comments: Very conveniently located to get to Windows and to the pool. While we expected to have some noise being one level down from the pool deck, the only time we heard anything at all was after the White Party when they were resetting, and we did not find it particularly loud or bothersome.

Room 4034, Inside 12, on Quest

Deck 4, midship, so great position if the seas are rough.

Accessible room which was very large with lots of space in the room and a huge bathroom to accommodate a wheelchair, if necessary. No problem with clingy shower curtain as the shower would accommodate three people standing (not that it ever did, of course!). Limited storage space in bathroom - just a large mirrored bathroom cabinet above basin. The basin can be lowered or raised to accommodate a wheelchair. The shower can be accessed in the normal overhead position, hand-held or as a mixer tap at waist level.

Sail date: October-November 2014

Choose Again? - Definitely, if we were to choose an inside room again.

Noise? - None at all

Last sailed in September, Cabin 7062, usually have a regular balcony on deck 7 which is sandwiched between 2 passenger decks so no noise from deck 9 or the entertainment on deck 5. Easy access to all parts of the ship. Always useful to check your route so you can choose if you want sunshine on the balcony at any particular time of day. Cabins to avoid are 7067 and 7068 as they are near to the guest laundry and those at the front or rear due to the motion of the ocean!

Azamara Journey Cabin 4011- large outside and far forward location, near lift.

Great cabin, larger than average with a window rather than porthole.

However, the noise every morning from the forward thruster engines was unbearable so I would never choose this cabin again.
