I booked this one, a balcony on radiance $3100 for a couple, same cruise via RCL website $5200

Although always check the travel agents site as when I went in they said there were no rooms at that, so I walked out booked it online ( with the same travel agent) then went back inside to show them my booking and they then took it from there and sorted by deposit etc.

Could those great prices be because not as many passengers are willing to cruise inside after covid?  I would expect balcony cabins would be in higher demand than previously.

It mostly seems to be supply and demand for cruise cabin prices.

We book insides half the time as we are able to do more cruises per year but with the 7 cruises we currently have booked no one of them is an inside. So perhaps there is less demand at the moment for them.

That's excellent going, great bargain, I don't think I have ever seen 8 nights on any ship for $370 PP well done indeed.

I just checked my 10 day P&O cruise in June this year that only went on sale late Tuesday and now there are only inside and oceanviews left. Just as well I got the tip off on this board that the P&O replacement cruises had gone on sale on Tuesday.

Maybe there might be continued good prices on insides for a while.

My daughter has had the same offer which was actually sent to me, as I had booked the last cruise on carnival.    I thought it was for me but no only for her..,it seems she went to the casino and spent some money,,,but only on drinks because there was no queues there.!

i don’t use the Casio.  I phoned Carnival and they explained why she got the offer.   She is going overseas this year so can’t use the offer!  Bad luck!

Hi Mic, I booked on Tuesday on one of their new cruises out of Sydney on the Explorer so some of their  early revised itineraries are out.

Thought that I'd jump in and get one of those big mini suites on the Explorer.

There are also new things that you get with some of the room categories as well so worth checking out what you get with each room before you book.

The Explorer is basically taking over the ships cruises, I want to see what the Encounter and Adventure is doing before deciding.

We got the four-nighter Oct 5th on Splendor - deck 7 aft balcony, US$386 total for the cabin - and it includes $150 OBC. Nice one to squeeze in before flying to the UK three weeks later for the Celebration TA.

Happy days ...but how do I find these $$ .zero come up for me . Must of got it wrong no tips here only gloting 🤷‍♂️

I wouldn't worry too much. Some of those offers are targeted and the one above sounds like it was bought through a US TA.

Give it a bit more time and the specials will come.

There has been some funny stuff with some of those categories. I thought mini-suites were sold out for May 31st, but my agent was able to book one. I have looked since, and they were not available when you view their website as a 2 passenger booking, but available when you viewed as a 3 passenger booking.

Radiance back is this a great deal?

Would depend on the room, Balcony was about $1500 pp for this cruise, if this is a balcony then its cheap if its inside then its still okay for an 11 night cruise. On the RCL website this cruise starts from $1663 pp twin share so yes $1199 is a great price whichever way you look at it, see you on board😁

I usually compare the per night price, when you see a 4 nighter for $386USD that's actually $523 Australian which is $130 a night which is okay but not great, divide your dollars by your nights and if you find something between $100 and $120 you have done well, it can vary with ship & destination but if your talking Aussie cruises then its usually to NZ or the islands.

If you have cruised with Carnival, keep an eye on your emails, I got an offer like @plettza and can book a cabin for a 10 nighter out of Sydney  for 320 pp, ocean view. It is for certain cruises, can only be used once and only for 2 people but is an amazing deal. There is also a 9 night NZ offering in November this year for under 300 pp, inside cabin.

What was strange is I never got an email offer before I booked.  I just happened to be browsing  the Carnival website and saw these crazy prices.  They were quite fleeting and no longer available later that night.

But that price you got is similar to what was on offer when I browsed.  I should've taken more screenshots for reference.  In any case, I'm stoked.

I did get an email a day or two ago for an inside cabin also in November if I recall which was also cheap as chips but I won't have enough annual leave to go.  it might be the same offer you got.

I remember the days, many years ago when my benchmark for a cruise on Princess was $100 pp per day twin share for an oceanview cabin.  Them days are gonzo.

The new Coral releases are $149pp per day for an oceanview. $160pp per day for a balcony which is much cheaper than we paid on our first cruise on Sun Princess in 2014.

I don't know about Princess, but scoring a sub $100/night cruise on Carnival for a balcony was what I kept on trying to find back in the day. I guess I'm looking for that price point now that we're back into the swing of things. I think our last sub $100/night cruise was December 2018

Those were the days

I was just doing a booking on CArnival for NYE cruise it was coming up $578 for the total cruise Oceanview. I didn't proceed as I couldn't seem to put the second person in the booking and it was wanting payment in full. I don't know if it was a huge glitch.

Is this only available for those who received an email special? I usually sail Princess but I still love a deal 😉.
