Yes that is an excellent way to do it.

 

 Qantas currently have Sydney to Vancouver for $1399 return but I didn’t look into the t & cs.

To add to above, Ovation x 18 nights to Sydney is only marginally more expensive.

 

That is all too typical of a discounted cruise that the solo prices don't keep in step with the drop. At least the solo passenger doesn't have to pay for an extra airfare for their partner 😁

 

I thought all the 5%er's would be buying-up all of these leftover cabins.

1st time going on the Queen Elizabeth..

 

Prices are changing  rapidly, 14 night south  pacific  cruise is good value.check it out....

Wow, they have been pushing this as a "sporting greats" cruise for months, so I am surprised it isn't sold out already. I am tempted, but Coral Princess beat them to the punch with a good price on a Feb cruise that we booked late last year.

Yes, you can still sail for less than $100/person/day!

 

The lowest priced Australian round trip cruise I can find at the moment is:

9 nights to the South Pacific on Carnival Splendor, sailing out of Sydney on 19/5/24. 
$817/person for an inside cabin. That’s just over $90/day! 😱

A couple of others for Luminosa:

March 3rd, 7 nights South Pacific $652 twin - $93 per day

March 17th, 7 nights Qld $677 twin - $97 per day, which includes GST

 

I have noticed though, that sub-$100pp/pd twin cruises are getting to be few & far between.

If you put your mind to it and sacrifice your diet, you could just about eat $90 worth of food - breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner - yummm  😋
