Yes, but as in our case they still switched hotels from the one on our documents and did overnight us new documents. I got the new ones on Monday and we leave Sunday.

 

 

Hopefully our's are correct. We leave Friday. Where are you headed?

We arrive in Prague on Monday and take Ama's transfer to Vilshofen on Wednesday for the Romantic Danube on the AmaStella.

 

I sailed AMASTELLA last year:)........I hope you have a wonderful cruise:D

I'm happy to hear you're still at the Cosmopolitan as we're in Prague before boarding the AmaDante for Europe's Rivers and Castles. Our paperwork thus far from AMA shows the Cosmopolitan, and we added on 2 additional nights (independently of AMA) also there. The Trip Advisor reviews are outstanding. We leave for Prague June 10.

 

Will look forward to your comments about both the Cosmopolitan and the AmaDante. Also Frankfurt airport, ugh!

We just arrived Frankfurt. Gate to gate service is fantastic. Went from one gate to another via Beamer. Took us to security check point and got us to front of line. Would highly recommend to all with 90 min connection.

Two items NOT impressed with Cosmopolitan Hotel. In A+ cabin on ship, room looks out on a wall. We are in hotel for 5 nights. Small-closet-only space for bag. They did bring two luggage racks. Our WIFI is not working in room, had to use public WiFi for hotel. Sorry to say, I am unimpressed.

For those that have been on AMA before I have several questions:

 

1) Can we charge gratuities on a credit card or can they be put on our onboard account?

 

2) Can we bring our own wine on the ship?

Yes you can put all charges on credit card but note you will be charged in Euros so your bank might charge extra fees.

 

Yes you can bring your own wine on the ship. Any type of spirits actually.

(1) I seem to remember putting the gratuities on my account, which was charged to my credit card.

(2) You can bring whatever you want on board. :) Buying local wines in the ports is nice. And, you are not limited to wine, in my experience.

Forgot other thing I was going to post. Fly from Frankfurt to Prague, left from tarmac. In order to reach plane, had to go down 4 flights of steps-take bus- then climb up steps to get on plane. There was one small slow elevator.

yes and yes. In general on our (Wine) cruise last year the wine served was very good. The prices for a drink -not at meal times_ was inexpensive
