tamc321 Posted June 26, 2016 #1 Share Posted June 26, 2016 On other islands we have purchased a day pass to nice hotels or an all inclusive for the day in port. Are there any in Bermuda?
CruiserBruce Posted June 26, 2016 #2 Share Posted June 26, 2016 I would be researching on the Bermuda board, here: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=
donaldsc Posted June 26, 2016 #3 Share Posted June 26, 2016 This is not a response to your question as I do not know the answer but a more general response. You are already on a nice hotel that you are spending a lot per day to be one - the ship. I can't figure out why anyone would spend additional monies to to get off the ship and spend time in a hotel. Just my opinion. DON

D&L Thomas Posted June 26, 2016 #5 Share Posted June 26, 2016 Elbow Beach and Coco Reef have day passes. They are on the South Shore (best beaches) so you will need a taxi to get there. Might could take a bus, but I would want to get there and back quickly and conveniently.
WatchHill Posted June 26, 2016 #6 Share Posted June 26, 2016 Whenever we sail to Bermuda, we enjoy a day pass at Coco Reef. To get there we take the ferry into Hamilton, then taxi to the resort. While at Coco, we always find others from the ship, and when ready to return, share a larger van taxi and split the cost. Taxi each way would be the quickest, but a ride across Great Sound early in the morning is a fun option. We enjoy Coco Reef; quiet, clean, access to the beach adjacent to Elbow, but sitting by their pool is a plus. The day-pass includes lunch and beverage, access to showers and changing facilities. DON Perhaps because the beach is nicer at the hotel. :) And those darn cruise lines frown on me wearing my snorkeling gear in those huge ship pools.;)

leaveitallbehind Posted June 26, 2016 #9 Share Posted June 26, 2016 (edited) As an alternative to purchasing a day pass, Horseshoe Bay beach is one of the nicest in Bermuda, is free, and has very nice facilities with showers, changing areas, small restaurant, and chair and umbrella rentals to support the guests. Easy bus ride to reach it. Edited June 26, 2016 by leaveitallbehind
marco Posted June 26, 2016 #10 Share Posted June 26, 2016 We just returned from a week on the "Veendam" to Bermuda. Horseshoe bay was pretty much were everyone wanted to go for a day at the beach and whilst out at St George's, a 10 minute walk to Tobacco Bay was great for snorkeling. Easy bus ride to reach it. I would second leaveitallbehind's good advice. Horseshoe Bay is a great day trip. Beautiful beach, great location and easy to get to from the ships. Just use one of the express buses that leave from Kings Wharf. Good luck and enjoy Beautiful Bermuda. Happy Cruising

Just my opinion. DON Plus 1. When people ask this question, generally, they are asking about spending time on the beach not IN the hotel. They would like a quieter beach, with amenities like lounges and umbrellas, rest rooms plus possibly some better food than is available at beach concessions. The OP can correct me if I'm wrong.
