I'm guessing the buffet on the "10 Night Big Nude Boat 2018" isn't a pretty sight

The website shows Celebrity isn't the only cruise line chartering ships. Disappointing when a cruise you booked is chartered but contrary to what done think it can happen on any cruise line on any sailing.

I do not see any charters for any Princess ships.

I wonder what the Carnival "Love Like You Mean It" cruise is about.

The Love Like You Mean It® Marriage Cruise is a getaway for married couples looking for relaxation, renewal, romance and life-long memories. The seven-day (six nights), fully-chartered cruise sails from Fort Lauderdale, FL to Amber Cove, DR, Grand Turk and Half Moon Cay, The Bahamas. The cruise features fantastic speakers and Christian artists. Guests can look forward to biblical teaching and refreshing words on marriage, great concerts and entertainment, fun with like-minded couples, and quality time with their spouses while sailing on the gorgeous Caribbean Sea. Nothing is mandatory, and if you need to just get away and enjoy some time together for the week, you can do that too. Take a dip in the pool, relax with a couples' massage in the Spa, hit the gym, grab some soft serve ice cream (open 24 hours), or order room service and get intimate in your stateroom. Whatever you’d like to do as a couple, there is a good chance you’ll be able to do it. Join us for an unforgettable week on the high seas as you relax, renew, rediscover, romance, and remember.

Because this is a fully chartered cruise, you will find it very different from any ordinary cruise. The background music, television channels, announcements, and activities are all arranged by the Cruise team. You will find the environment to be very different without kids around - just other married couples; and although the Casinos and Bar areas will be open, not many guests will be in these locations. Each year many couples are amazed by how nice it is to spend time away and not have to worry about trying to censor out many of the distractions that steal their attention.

I think Summit is frequently chartered because

- its Celebrity

- it's a smaller class ship

- is probably on the less expensive end of the charter cruises because there are fewer amenities like wall climbing, grass lawns etc

- it runs the usual Caribbean run out of Fort Lauderdale

Just some guesses on my part.

I know this has come up quite often, but did some research and found this site that lists all the known full ship charters of the major cruise lines. I never realized how many of them, and the diversity there was

Johhnnyt: Thanks for this web site ! It is full with some great information.

I wonder if you can keep accumulating OBC for a cancelled cruise then switch to a more likely to be chartered cruise to receive additional OBC? It would be interesting to see if someone can accomplish that and how much they could accumulate without actually taking a cruise until they select one not likely to be chartered such as a longer sailing.

Thank you so much for this information. Cruise critic is the best. It looks like if you have a longer cruise you are less likely to get canceled.

From what I see, a good number of these themed charters are on the "older" less popular ships. It's all about the bottom line. Get people on those ships and show them a good time with like minded people and there's a good chance they will return for more.

Some cruises are not a full charter but have large group bookings - Theme Cruise Finder is a website that can help show those. The charters are not only on the older ships, Silhouette and Reflection feature and have also read Edge already chartered for March 2019...

Interesting website though OP, thanks for sharing!

So weird that a company would be marketing itself , in this day and age, to only "married" couples. Wouldn't it be funny if everyone who booked were in same sex marriages? I bet that would drive the sponsors for a loop. :D I certainly hope they would not turn anyone away :(

Thank you johhnnyt and Casper106 for the great resources.

I did not know that type of info was available.....through the Roll Call I've recently learned that I'll be sharing the Connie this fall with a very large group. It will be my first cruise in which this has happened. Should be interesting.
