caribbeanboy Posted October 13, 2017 #26 Share Posted October 13, 2017 I just scored a balcony on the Nov 25 sailing on the Royal for $388 for 2! it's a 5 might cruise.
BarbinMich Posted October 13, 2017 #27 Share Posted October 13, 2017 Apparently just spending up to $200 at slots doesn't qualify one for a "deal" on a future cruise, as we've never received one of these offers. We've sailed 30 x for a total of almost 350 days and my "slot habit" has been pretty consistent and I never have come out ahead. Interestingly, we sailed on HAL last April and I actually ended the cruise with a gain of almost $100. AND we have since gotten a "casino rate" offer from them! Go figure. Daisyloo Posted October 13, 2017 #28 Share Posted October 13, 2017 I saw that email last night and thought it must be a mistake, but decided to call and see. It was legit, and I put a courtesy hold on a 7 night western Caribbean for $118.00 CND. Ridiculously low price. I had to call them back this morning and cancel it as I couldn't get the time off work. I'm a bit bummed that I couldn't take advantage of such an amazing deal. But hopefully, in a year or two I will be retired and able to take off any time I want! nini Posted October 13, 2017 #29 Share Posted October 13, 2017 So, as a few posters have asked and indicated: playing the slots does not qualify you for the Player's Club? I would love to know, because then I will plan to stop into the casino once in a while. we will be Platinum after our next cruise! Would love to know the answer. I don't play slots - If i played anything it was poker or craps (I am having a hard time remembering exactly what I did or what they have in the casino but I am a table games person). ccruisequeen Posted October 13, 2017 #31 Share Posted October 13, 2017 I received a note in the cabin which offered $100 casino Credits if i booked at a regular rate by a certain date. I booked It on board along with my next cruise in a few weeks.
dogbuster Posted October 13, 2017 #32 Share Posted October 13, 2017 It's for real. I just booked an inside cabin 7 nights Dec 10 Eastern Caribbean on the Regal for the silly price of $ 118 Canadian Dollars ( $ 16.85 per day). Maybe I better call to upgrade to a balcony at $ 250. Hard to believe but true. you must spend many dollars , which entitle you to the player club. ;)
Rare Lady Arwen Posted October 13, 2017 #33 Share Posted October 13, 2017 you must spend many dollars , which entitle you to the player club. ;)Nope, not true! We got the offer and our slot spending on a 7 day cruise is about $250.00 for the entire cruise. Last cruise on the Royal we took home an extra $200.00! The offers are random picks of people who use the casino, regardless of how much they spend.

TravelingEA Posted October 13, 2017 #35 Share Posted October 13, 2017 I got one as well. We gamble very little - basically enough to get some cash back from OBC. This is the 2nd offer that I received this year. 20 years of cruising I never received one before. My wife has never received one.

MarcsSharon Posted October 13, 2017 #37 Share Posted October 13, 2017 Just booked 2 balconies on Regal - Sunday after Thanksgiving. My husband and I both got the casino offer - so I took one cabin with my sister in law and he has one with my brother in law. All said and done - total $638 per couple. Deduct my future cruise credits - $200 and factor in shipboard credits of $150 and shareholder credit of $100 and this deal was impossible to pass up. Yipeee...thank you Princess. Mrs.Gosse Posted October 14, 2017 #40 Share Posted October 14, 2017 Funny story. I got two. One for me and one for my daughter. Mine was hundreds of dollars different from my daughter. And I unfortunately used all of my vacation time doing Alaska Land and Sea last month or I would totally be on top of one. What we're trying to decide right now is to use this other Casino code that's 20% off with OBC and gratuities included for a mini Suite next November or just try and risk it and see if we get another one of these offers either next spring or next November. I'm wondering if we will get them again. Sent from my SM-G955U using Forums mobile app
Rare Cruise Junky Posted October 14, 2017 #41 Share Posted October 14, 2017 We both got it but couldn't make it work timewise. Too bad, great deals.
Kelowna Cruiser Posted October 14, 2017 #42 Share Posted October 14, 2017 you must spend many dollars , which entitle you to the player club. ;) My rare visits to the casino on board to play $ 5 blackjack for an hour or so surely has not earned me any Princess status ! Maybe 10 Princess past cruises has more to do with it.
envy4u Posted October 14, 2017 #43 Share Posted October 14, 2017 It's legit. Just booked. 99.00 pp plus tax for 5 nights. Hard to say no to that as we drive to the port. Hubby plays tables but not a lot. Sent from my iPad using Forums
Rare geoherb Posted October 14, 2017 #44 Share Posted October 14, 2017 I certainly don't qualify as a high roller. I've only played the slots--never table games. And as I stated previously, I don't play more than $20 a cruise. A few times when I've been up on a machine, I've kept a balance of double that or so on my card to use another day later in the cruise. But compared to how much I've seen others go through on the slots, I'm definitely small potatoes. Nevertheless I received this great offer and booked us for a balcony on the Royal's 10-day southern Caribbean cruise in December.
JimAOk1945 Posted October 14, 2017 #45 Share Posted October 14, 2017 The "Princess Players Club" means you used the casino - and I use the word "used" lightly - I play very little - like a couple hands - because I am highly allergic to cigarette smoke. I got the email and the special rates end of September and booked a mini-suite for 1500 (total) and just got an upgrade offer. The insides I was offered were for like 400 (total). Tip of the day: play some casino games. Thanks for taking the time to answer my question.

Definitely no way we get those kind of rates all year. Also I just looked up how much it was to fly to Sydney and I would also be paying thousands of dollars to do so. Because of the Players Club links? :loudcry: If I booked that from here, we would be up for $265 per night per person, Aussie dollars that is = about US$210 each. I just checked the prices for the two cruises you mention on the Princess Australia website. A difference of some 400% Ouch !! Elitein85days Posted October 14, 2017 #50 Share Posted October 14, 2017 Play enough and they’ll notate your account so you get 45% off the displayed rate on princess.com plus all of the available incentives currently advertised, if any, (OBC, pre-paid gratuities, etc.). Just saying, play more and you’ll get rewarded....
