$956 to Upgrade to GS from Balcony?

That's $956 to upgrade from Oceanview Balcony to GS on Allure. Total, not per person.

 

I'm assuming (hoping) that OBC will be more.:)

I know that gratuities will be more.:(

 

Haven't called TA yet, but I'm wondering what you think.

Exactly, class of ship makes a big difference in this decision. I would definitely upgrade on an Oasis class ship or Quantum class because of Royal Suite Class on these ships.

I could jump from my balcony cabin to a GS for our Jan 19 Symphony cruise. I would just have to up my cost from $2020 to $8683. :eek: :loudcry:

DH will NOT do a connecting. This is just where I was about a month ago.:(

 

But now the Crown Lofts are dropping in price so maybe someone in a GS will upgrade to a CL. (maybe?)

Anyway, I'm constantly checking, but it has to be a non connecting.

I just booked a C1 on this sailing this morning for $3828 for 2, with D+ discount. Plus $100 OBC. I saw the only GS on deck 6 remaining. It was only $2700 or so.

 

Crazy price for either of them. C2's were a bit cheaper than C1.

With the only GS available for our upcoming December cruise being a connecting cabin...I booked it. Not what I want, but hoping between now and final payment, a non connecting cabin will open up. Hoping a family will want that cabin to book the adjacent connecting cabin, which will be a win-win for all.

 

Lots of cabins get dumped back into the pot as pax cancel before final payment without penalty. Shame they are held until the end like that...but have time to wait and watch.

Yes, but......

 

We're doing the Yacht Club on MSC in July.

I fully expect the experience of the GS on Allure to be less. However, I take each cruise as its own merits with plusses and minuses.

I'm surprised that with only 1 GS and I believe 1 CL1 left that the prices have not gone up yet
