Charles4515 Posted August 4, 2018 #101 Share Posted August 4, 2018 Of course not. But given that tossing stuff off the side of the ship is prohibited, I'm surprised that no one stopped them from showing it in the movie. Sent from my SM-G935V using Forums mobile app Throwing cremated ashes from the ship is permitted. It has to be done in international waters. What was missing from the scene was that cruise line personnel should be there. But hey it’s a movie..... Rare BillOh Posted August 4, 2018 #107 Share Posted August 4, 2018 Can you purchase just that one movie from nexflix or do you need to have a subscription? Sent from my BG2-W09 using Forums mobile app Maybe they still have a 30 day free trial for new members?
Rare BillOh Posted August 4, 2018 #108 Share Posted August 4, 2018 Haven’t watched it yet. Anyone know why it’s rated mature? A few words that can't be printed here. The Facebook group is all up in arms that a family oriented cruiseline would associate with a movie that uses the same language I've heard in the guest services line ;)
Ourusualbeach Posted August 4, 2018 #109 Share Posted August 4, 2018 That is my one rule for DH as we do not get the internet package. Wondering like poster above, is that Coastal Kitchen? And what stateroom category was that (or was that made up, filmed in a studio) It was an Owners suite. Cabin 1460. You can tell from the balcony scene when they zoom out they are above the balcony with the hot tub which is the villa suite. Looking at the plans for the OS they moved the bed to where the couch is and put the couch perpendicular to the bed. Probably needed to move things around for the best camera angles. https://www.google.ca/search?q=harmony+of+the+seas+owners+suite&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-ca&client=safari#imgrc=KT4HT88dhY5l4M:

And what stateroom category was that (or was that made up, filmed in a studio) Good catch on the theme to the movie, but I don't chastise people who need to get it. I haven't been on a ship with Coastal Kitchen yet, but it did seem to be in that area. When they first stepped onto the balcony that seemed to be a suite on deck 14 starboard just behind the hump. Rare BillOh Posted August 4, 2018 #111 Share Posted August 4, 2018 I don't recall the Aqua Theater being shown.. It was only shown in aerial shots behind the ship, no activity there.

I was more worried that MA rating was more like a R rating and didn’t want to see a racy love scene with my teenage son watching with me

cruiseguymfr Posted August 4, 2018 #115 Share Posted August 4, 2018 The movie reminded me that life is short. Don't stress over dumb stuff. Appreciate family and friends.
harryw Posted August 4, 2018 #116 Share Posted August 4, 2018 It reminded me that Work isn’t everything, I know people who don’t know how to relax on a vacation. Or never want to take a vacation. I liked the scene where a cell phone is tossed into the water.
adjjb12 Posted August 4, 2018 #117 Share Posted August 4, 2018 It reminded me the same, I'm kind of like Kristen Bell's character. I decided I need a vacation booked for this year after watching it .

Sent from my SM-G935V using Forums mobile app It is completely legal and done much more than you realize. You must get written permission from Guest emergency services months in advance, take your letter of permission to the ship purser on boarding, a time place and day will be assigned. A ships officer and a security guard will escort you to a private place and give you 10 to 15 minutes of privacy . You must use a biodegradeable sealed urn that is dropped into the water. On Allure this is done on deck 4 or 5 aft. Not sure how often on Royal but Carnival says it happens over a hundred times a year.
CruiseGal999 Posted August 4, 2018 #119 Share Posted August 4, 2018 It was a fun & cute movie. Predictable, but I like Kelsey & Kristin ... loved seeing the ship. Have never been on it but want to go on HOTS.
Tom47 Posted August 4, 2018 #120 Share Posted August 4, 2018 DW watched it and said "That is 1 hour 43 minutes of my life that I will never get back!!" :) I thought the plot was contrived, but ok.

CapeGal Posted August 4, 2018 #122 Share Posted August 4, 2018 We just viewed the movie....I give it a THUMBS DOWN!! Being a guy...maybe it's just a Chick Flick. It was an ok movie. A little bit too stereo typed. Plus if you are a “real cruiser” you pick up all the improbabilities and unliklies they assume. But it was nice to see the few real shots of Harmony. mac66 Posted August 5, 2018 #123 Share Posted August 5, 2018 An okay flick. Kind of thought the weed smoking in Jamaica and the "F" bombs were unnecessary and detracted from the film. Other wise it was entertaining and makes me want to go on another cruise.
mac66 Posted August 5, 2018 #124 Share Posted August 5, 2018 Have you ever tried to hail a cab in New York? That language is not unique to the situation. With the amount of teens and the popularity of the deluxe drink package I’m sure the F Bombs are dropped quite often on a Royal Caribbean cruise. Compared to what they say and show on TV these days that movie was tame. My real question is can the Royal Caribbean pizza be folded like the one in the scene in front of Macy’s? Sent from my iPhone using Forums But why do you have to have all the F bombs in a movie? Serves no purpose and detracts from the entertainment value. If I want to hear F bombs, I'll hang out in a locker room or street corner. Also thought the dope smoking scene in Jamaica was unnecessary and offensive.
