Silversea Water Cooler: Welcome! Part Five

Our NYE celebration was a dinner at our favourite restaurant Black Tartan Kitchen.  It was a feast.  The walk there (about 25 minutes) was very eerie.  Rain and fog and almost no one on the streets.  Weather was extremely strange for this time of year here.

Chef Ian provides his menus in crossword form.  Always an interesting "appetizer" to the meal.  Here is the menu from last night with my answers penned in....(clue numbers refer to the order of the dishes)...

Had to look up Tourtiere

me too, always fun to learn something new.  Then I found a Canadian website (will post the link below) that offered this answer in response to a question I had

WHICH WINE WITH TOURTIERE

Whites, sparkling or reds all go with them a tourtière pie.

I think its love at first sight: me tourtiere, & whichever wine I'm in the mood to enjoy

sorry wrong photo..

Love both of them, both were right!

Maybe I ought to get one of those shingles shots, sorry that affliction affected your New Years.  The table you set in your photo looks inviting to me, however.  Best wishes and heal quickly
