I’m in steerage eating potatoes. Apparently my window goes up and down and there are some festoons but apparently no drawers. Can these people even read? I Think they might be cannibals.

Try not to look too appetizing!  😀  What were you thinking?  Based on everything I (think) I know about you from this forum, I can't see you liking Celebrity at all...

TBH HJB, I’ve been having a bit of a battle over there. Some of the posters find it hilarious that my dad died of Mesothelioma and there are enough warriors there  that they would have ended WW1 in a week. I’m more than a little disgusted in my future cruise “buddies” and seriously regretting booking the whole thing. I’ll happily express my displeasure in person if they have a pair though.

Oh my.  I didn't expect even the half of it.  So sorry.

[edited to add:]  Had a look over there.  Oh my, oh my, oh my.  One of the few things I really liked about Celebrity was their early adoption of a completely smoke-free interior rule.  Now they are allowing vaping in the casino?  No No No!

NP JHB, just steer clear of any subjects on the X boards that mention vaping. They are worse for your health than accidentally inhaling nicotine that doesn’t exist and will kill you faster than niocin. I was so excited about my upcoming on X but frankly would rather accompany a large stone to the bottom than share a lifeboat with any of the Xccers.

The world's largest ship named "Icon Of The Seas" sets sail in January 2024.
It will carry 5610 passengers and 2350 crew members.
It has 19 floors with more than 40 bars, restaurants and bowling alleys; it will have 6 slides, 7 swimming pools and 9 hot tubs. !!

NOW THAT IS A NIGHTMARE !!!

May be an image of boat

I’m so regretting booking on the Edge for January 24. I Can only say that CC Celebrity passengers give me the distinct impression that they would barely pass a DNA test. What an absolute shower they are.

Only now do you realise.😀

Davey - can I just ask why you are going on a Celebrity ship?  I am sure there is a good reason.  And though I think they have a sort of 'upper class'  bit you will not be in it?

Lola

Perhaps he wants to rough it and keep his Laboutains firmly on the ground.😀

Topless and a thong and carrying a beer in each hand !!

Is this the new "Dress Code" with Silversea?

Any word from J.P. as to what time they returned home and how they are doing at work this morning?

Below are a couple of tee-shirts that I saw advertised on the Internet for men to wear.  Any buyers here?  They apparently come in a variety of colors!!

THANKS!  Enjoy!  Terry in Ohio

DaveyWavey - Have you considered trying out the new Crystal now owned by the former Chairman of Silversea.  His best buddy and former Senior Cruise Director Fernando has also made the switch to Crystal.  While Fernando is not doing CD duties most of the time, he is involved with certain aspects of the Crystal experience.  It sounds like they have done a good job with the takeover.

Its colorful. But OMG how does it even float. After our recent MSC travesty in the yacht club, I can’t say I would ever go on something this ginormous. Even if I was gifted a cruise.

The empty Lima sign seemed like a missed photo op. But then I saw a short line at the fence, and the police were letting small groups through for pictures! We seized the opportunity to have it to ourselves!

Cruising the fjords of Norway has been wonderful, internet access has been a bit spotty, just now had a chance to catch up with the cooler!
below a shot of a  church in Nordfjordeid and a Norwegian dawn from Silver Dawn, taken on our first morning here when my brain had no concept of what time zone it’s in

Just to help our travel friend from Virginia (and save us from twisting our necks too much), below are those two visuals rotated.  Both looking good and bringing back great memories from scenic Norway on a Silversea ship.

THANKS!  Enjoy!  Terry in Ohio

@QueSeraSera Love the photos, especially the dawn photo. I'm looking forward to my Norwegian fjords cruise on the Dawn next June.

Yeah Emtb. I Had a an absolute ball on Crystal when the Symphony was arrested, that was a fantastic ship and can’t wait to try the new Crystal.

Lola

It seemed like a good idea at the time Lola. I’ve got dear friends that are in steerage and didn’t want to miss out on time with them. The itin was exactly what I wanted and the timing was perfect. Just a shame about the company but I Hope they aren’t quite as pitiful in real life.
