The Premier of our province gave police the authority to stop vehicles and pedestrians to ask them why they had left their homes and to collect their home addresses during our current stay-at-home lockdown..  Within hours of this announcement police forces from across the province chimed in to say that they would NOT be doing random checks on vehicles or pedestrians.  I love our country!
