Ginnyd Posted October 23, 2018 #1 Share Posted October 23, 2018 I read that someone was complaining that there were no robes supplied on Princess. Somewhere in the registration process I accidentally came upon a section where you can request a robe in your cabin. Check it out!

It should be on the regular Princess board which can be found here..... https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/119-princess-cruises/ Yes you can put in a standing request in your online profile for a robe in your cabin which will carry over to any cruise booking you make. beg3yrs Posted October 23, 2018 #3 Share Posted October 23, 2018 It's typical that robes are unavailable until the day after embarkation. This is because they are being laundered from the previous batch of guests.
paul929207 Posted October 23, 2018 #4 Share Posted October 23, 2018 We had rooms in our cabin last week on the Royal Princess
jennybenny Posted October 23, 2018 #5 Share Posted October 23, 2018 There have been times when we've requested them on line but they have not been available in our cabins. If we don't go out of our way to request them again, they don't show up.
centralcalicruzer Posted October 23, 2018 #6 Share Posted October 23, 2018 I have had the standing request for a robe in my personalizer for years. If there's not one in the cabin upon embarkation, I mention it to the steward. Usually they tell me they are being laundered and will be in the cabin as soon as possible. I've never not gotten one. luckyinpa Posted October 25, 2018 #7 Share Posted October 25, 2018 if you are less than skinny they probably wont fit. i asked the steward if they had bigger and he said no.

mevs904 Posted October 26, 2018 #9 Share Posted October 26, 2018 Interesting. We have never requested a robe and have always received them. We’re not much for hanging around our cabin so we don’t feel the need for them. Even when we hang out on the balcony we don’t use the robes. Needless to say we would never take up luggage space by bringing a robe. At home we have robes that we received on the Princess Ultimate Ship’s Tour and two DCL robes that our children gave us as a gift. We still seem to prefer our own regular robes. Different strokes I guess.
terrysko2000 Posted October 26, 2018 #10 Share Posted October 26, 2018 If you order room service......you better have one. More than once they have woke me up and I have grabbed it in a hurry. Poor room service. Probably scared them
lorri111 Posted October 26, 2018 #11 Share Posted October 26, 2018 Where abouts in the personalizer does it give option to ask for robes? I may be going mad but I just can't see it.
neverbeenhere Posted October 26, 2018 #12 Share Posted October 26, 2018 In a booked cruise, guest check-in, onboard preferences.

neverbeenhere Posted October 26, 2018 #15 Share Posted October 26, 2018 (edited) Seems like it is. But just ask your room steward and they will provide robes and just about anything else responsible. Rare Itchy&Scratchy Posted October 26, 2018 #16 Share Posted October 26, 2018 last year I finally ordered one, mostly for giggles, because I had read in many posts about the robe's rather small size. Well, it's true. I am size 14-16, and the front flaps didn't even close, let alone overlap... P.S. Yes, I know I am very overweight.

They can’t get in until you let them. They just woke me up when I overslept a few times. Bed head and shortly nitie! Love my robe

Thrak Posted November 5, 2018 #23 Share Posted November 5, 2018 We see the same thing in the US. I request a robe for my wife but not for me. The robes really aren't made for someone my size.

The sheer trauma of me answering the door in some baggy boxers would likely scar the poor person for life. (I know it's not a pretty sight in the mirror...) Actually not so weird. Princess' Oz cruises are run out of Chatswood NSW, not Santa Clarita, Calif. (That's why OBC down under is issued in $AU, not $US, and the onboard currency is $AU) FWIW, last time I cruised down under, Princess had robes if you asked the cabin steward.
