“Live from: Z and TB’s Fall Foliage Extravaganza”

Very fair assessment of the Navigator (much better than mine would have been).  The biggest concern that I hear is "climate control" as this ship will be in the Amazon at the end of the month.  This is the hottest, most humid place that we have been to earth so having an air conditioning issue would be a concern for sure. To be fair, we haven't been everyplace on earth but have been to about 100 countries and the Amazon was the most challenging in terms of heat (followed by India but we were on Voyager and no air conditioning issues).

As noted, the vibration is not mid-ships but rather in the aft part of the ship.  There is also a lot of noise from the anchor if you are too far forward and/or if you are in a suite under the bridge.  Interesting description of the casino.  We find almost everything (except the suites) on Navigator to be "mini".

Thank you for taking the time to do such a wonderful blog!

Thank you for your final review and your fun-to-read blog and pictures. After enjoying all other Regent ships, we will take our first Navigator cruise in July, so I was really interested in your ship comments. I like cool rooms also and am hoping, maybe naively, that the cool (Norway, North Cape) itinerary might help. We are also in Deck 6.

I must apologize for being REALLY late to this party! For some reason, I didn't know (or remember) that you and TB were on this particular cruise. John and I just finished a SS Spirit TA at the end of Sept and can sympathize with the weather. Ours was terrible too! As Jackie mentioned, we think of our Malaga tapas tour with fond memories and so far, there have been no good meetings of the Margarita and Bloody Mary Society meetings.....sob!

We enjoyed reading your adventures and wish we could be a "reunion" cruise somewhere along the line. We've considered doing the British Isles as well.....when and which ship are you guys going on?

In the meantime, have a wonderful Thanksgiving and Christmas season!

Hugs all around,

Linda and John

Thanks for the back up report about the Navigator, you pretty much said everything I hoped to hear.  Even better she will be going into a refit next year. We now have 3 cruises booked on Regent-and booked the Navigator for another cruise (4 now booked), so your report just sealed the deal.  Thanks again for taking the time.

Sweet Prince, could you stand one more huzzah?  It was a delight reliving one of Ginny's and my favorite cruises through this wonderful blog.  It just might have been my favorite Roberto effort to date--especially loved your NYC and Citadal posts.  My treasured Z Chuckle-Meter--it got another good workout!-- is now back in storage until next June.  Hope someday we'll get to share another live blog, which is another way of saying I hope Ginny and I will get to see youse again.  Big hug to you and TB.

I could sure use a meeting, too!  We are on the Nav departing 18 Jun from Southampton to Dublin.  We are really looking forward to it

I thought I remembered that there was a D-Day charter from May30 to June 8 http://regent.dday75.org/cruise-itinerary/

After that, there is a short gap June 8-18 before another cruise starts in South Hampton.

Peggy

She finishes world cruise mid May and then goes from nyc to Amsterdam to be in position for D Day anniversary charter.  So, I guess that 10 days after that could be  it.....after I have gotten off...darn.

rcandkc,

Are you on the D day cruise? If so, I hope you'll post here . . . .  sounds interesting.

Peggy

No, the one before...nyc to Amsterdam.  We will be going to some of the war sights along the French coast though.   There is a cc member going on the charter though. There is a roll call.

I checked the Navigator Roll Calls and there is no Roll Call for the D-Day cruise . . . too bad.

I'm "here/there" fairly frequently so I'll keep looking. I wonder what happened to the regular poster here who was on that trip . . . or if it has to do with being a Charter.

They may be on the nyc to Amsterdam room call because they are continuing on to the charter and I forgot.  I’ve read something somewhere.  I just found it. May 30, 2019 Amsterdam to Southampton.  It’s there.

rcandkc,

May 30 Amsterdam->Southampton doesn't show up for me. NY->Amsterdam and then Southampton onward. Can you copy the link for me?

TIA

Peggy

How do I do that?  It is a older thread but still on my first page.

Have to laugh about you being late to the party (unusual for you guys).  We also miss the "Margarita and Bloody Mary Society meetings" ....... how do we get everyone back on the same cruise?

Hoping that you have sympathy for our weather.  The Mariner had 8 sea days due to weather and we will have 9 (so the Voyager beat the Mariner in this category)👹
