Book another GS. 😉

However, it applies to Enchantment and Mariner as well.

Never encountered lines for security on the small ships. Time will tell with the Mariner. No suites left for our next Oasis cruise

Keep checking daily, cabins do mysteriously appear.  Today I finally got out of the dreaded connecting GS into a non-connecting after checking every day for 4 months when another GS popped up this morning.  Did not appear on RCI website, was on another one...which I then called CS to have her switch me.

Yep. Was on the Enchantment 10/26. D+ has been with suites and Pinnacles. I asked the concierge about it and she asked and got an email from the port authority. She said it wasn’t Royal.

Going this weekend. I’m going to go late like 1:30 or super early. Not in my usual JS.

Won’t matter soon. When I turn Pinnacle on Enchantment 11/30, I’m in a JS.

Eek, hope we didn't steal your JS.  And although we're note sailing with you when you turn Pinnacle, i hope we can help celebrate early with you this weekend.

Please help me understand what to expect when we board Enchantment on Monday?  Haven't sailed out of PC in a while, and definitely not since becoming D+.  No more priority boarding?  I've always been one to get to the port early, is that going to be a problem?  It's weird because my daughter and her roommate are in a different cabin, and their set sail pass looks completely different from mine.  Their set sail passes say "Arrival Appointment 11:30 am - 12:00 pm", and mine says "...1:00pm - 1:30pm".

So, if we arrive earlier than their appointment time, are we going to be turned away?  Will I be turned away if I try to board when they do?

No...you will not be turned away.  Arrive whenever you want.  Those times are simply "suggested"....kind of like "suggested attire" in the dining room...obviously anything goes there.  :classic_sleep:

When I travel with my sister, and the rare times we even have a long line at PC, or have to sit and wait to board....I simply go through with her in the Diamond line or section...though we are D+ also.  Boarding at the new terminal, even for large Oasis is a dream.  Very fast, very efficient. We get there around 11 am, and never stop.  What little line there is moves quickly, and by the time we are checking in, all C&A levels have been called.  We walk right onto the ship.

How is the parking garage for the new terminal?  We get in the day before, and can't wait to explore Cocoa Beach again.  In the past we used to arrive around 10:30 and had a small wait.

I am D+ and DD is D, but this is the first cruise for her roommate.  Since they are in the same cabin, if there is priority boarding for D, the roommate can board with her, right?

Yes, if for some reason they bring it back. Or at least I could a year ago with my Diamond roommate - the SetSail passes were different then, not individual.

I'm confused....

Isn't there a line for Diamond and Diamond Plus for Embarkation?  Is there a special line for them after being at a visiting port?

At Port Canaveral there's two security lines. One for suites & pinnacles (usually short) and one for everyone else (can extend out into the parking garage). Diamonds & Diamond + used to be able to go into the suites/pinnacle security line, but it seems they stopped this. After security you go up the escalator and the separate checkin lines by status still remain.

What time would you suggest I arrive, if I want to be towards the front of that long, snaky line?

I haven't ever seen a line with the smaller ships. With the one time I've been on Oasis we arrived around noon and there was a line outside. From posts on here it seems before 11 or after 2 are the less busy times. We plan to get there before 11 on my next Oasis sailing.

OK Royal

Keep screwing with us!!!

Food and service have gone down hill..... no longer trying??

Took an escorted tour this summer and enjoyed it.   May have to give up RC.

What other benefits are you planning on removing?😡

What's been removed? Priority going through security has never been a benefit. It was just something that the ports were doing. RCI stepped in and told them end it. Suites and Pinnacles are given priority. That's it.

Room mate should be able to board with the D passenger being in the same cabin, they won't split them up.  Me, I just hang back with the D group, even though you are D+.  Keeps you all together.  Everyone will board the ship at some point.  No need to stress over that short part of your trip.

Parking garage is really nice.  You can drive in, drop your checked bags, and then continue on up to park.  Very easy peasy.  Enjoy your cruise!  🙂

Is there even really a difference between D and D+ anymore?  Can anyone confirm, are D+ allowed in the CL on Enchantment?

Yes, D+ is allowed on all ships that have (still) have a CL.  EN is especially nice since the DL and CL are right across from each other.  Follow the curving ramp up from the bar on the left as you enter the VCL.

One more time. 🙂

If it is a CL (Concierge Lounge) , D+ have access.

If it is an SL (Suite Lounge), D+ do NOT have access.

No need to be snotty about it.

Okay, my question should have been: Is there still a CL on Enchantment?  There.  Are you happy?

The smiley was to show that IT WAS A JOKE.

And it does help to actually ask the question you want answered. 😄

Yes, you are correct.  But, in my defense... I see no smiley on the original post... just a little square.  The smiley showed up on this post though... 😐

The hard part is, the mis-information given out by staff on the ships.   The only reason I understood this could be a problem was on my most recent sailing on Grandeur (I was a lowly D), I was told by the DL concierge that D+ would no longer have access to the CL... he did not say they were going to (at some point) change the CL to a SL... just that D+ would no longer have access to the CL.

Thanks to the helpful people here, I learned what he didn't understand about the changes to come, or didn't know how to explain.

I will happily add to that:  Two free photos, bag of free laundry, two free 24 hour internet sessions per person and more perks that I can't remember right now.  Works for me!  $$$  🙂

Plus more lunch and more wine at 340, and even more wine at 525. 🍷

Since the 525 wine is a little nicer, I'd love to see a 6 pack of beer as a choice for the 525 amenity
