Suite Guest Disembarkartion

Our upcoming cruise, we are booked in a Grand Suite  Wondering if this scenario is possible.....

If we signed up for the earlier time slot with the concierge, would it be possible to.....

1. Retrieve our luggage (we are now going on the Allure rather than the Oasis out of Miami but our flight is out of Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood). I didn’t think we would be eligible for the RCI luggage valet? We are flying Southwest

2. Have booked transportation waiting - Jiffy Jeff - I’m thinking about booking them both ways for transportation. Mind you we are a family of 4 with luggage.

3. Make an 11:30 am flight out of FLL. I realize it takes 40 minutes or an hour to get from Port of Miami to FLL. I also realize it would be better to book after 12 pm flight but we either take the 11:30 or wait til 5:30/6 pm. Not interested in waiting all day....could change our entire plans if we have to. Prefer to catch this flight if it’s even remotely possible. If not, we go to plan b. This is on a Sunday morning.

Thanks in advance!

We did this three weeks ago, but we went to the Ft. Lauderdale airport. From the time we left the suite lounge until we were at the gate for our American Airlines flight was 40 minutes. Based on this, I would guess we were at the taxi area in 20 minutes. Unless something strange happens, you should be ok.

The Pinnacle comment must have been a joke, we were told there were 82 of them with us on the Allure.

Also, you don't have to wait for the concierge to get off the ship.  We disembarked Oasis today BEFORE the earliest time the concierge offered and were from our room to the car in less than 15min.  The earlier you go the better! Just do self-assist and carry your own luggage off.

Apparently 3 can degrade the Suite experience.  Or so I've read.

59 on Oasis now

My experience is they have you meet in the lounge.

When the Concierge gets the call that you can disembark, he shuttles people down and out.  They have one or two elevators locked out for their exclusive use.

Until the time to leave, you sit in the lounge and enjoy a light breakfast.

Once off the ship, you get escorted to a short line to clear immigration.

At Baltimore, the suite/Pinnacle luggage is right by the exit out of the luggage area and ready to go.

We have been off the ship and into the waiting transport in under 10 minutes from the call to start disembarkation.

No carrying bags, no standing in line.

On the Allure a few weeks ago everyone met up in the suite lounge.  Then it was every man for himself to find an elevator down to the Champagne and when everyone got there off we went. .  Why we didn't just meet down there in the first place I don't know

We met down in the Champagne Bar on Oasis.  The concierges put stickers on everyone and then they took the group off, one concierge at the front and the other at the back.  The held back the lines at the other escalator and those down in the luggage area and took us around the outside of the lines at customs to customs agents who were waiting for our group.  There was one guy who took a hissy fit at customs because he was guaranteed express walk off and couldn't deal with the fact that there were about 6 other suite guests ahead of him.🙄

Had a similar experience last week on NAV.  The "meeting place" was Vintages but the first thing we did was go down one deck.  Why they didn't have us meet on deck 4 to start with is a mystery.  Schlepping bags down the stairs ?  Really ?

I had forgotten what a horrible port Miami is for disembarking suites guests.  I had vowed never to sail out of Miami again until they changed their rules (no dedicated Suites line at Customs; Concierge not allowed to leave the ship to escort; no way to get around the clog at the luggage carousel).  I had hoped that they would have a better system at the new terminal but apparently the rules are exactly the same there so - I will re-avow not to cruise out of Miami again.

My one and probably only suite experience and there were no lines of folks disembarking.  The "regulars" said normally you are walking by a very long line of folks waiting to get off.  Not sure why that was

Debarked the Harmony Nov 18th. We met in the Suite Lounge, they put numbers on us, called a group of numbers, put us on a dedicated elevator, stopped all other passengers, and led us out and down to the dedicated customs line.

We did luggage valet (awesome experience!!!), so we were out very quickly.  Now....the taxi line is another story.  They no longer care if you were in a suite!  😞  Back to reality.....

Aug 17 Grandeur in Baltimore, we walked past lines of people.  Some of whom were wondering out loud why we (the suite group) got special treatment.

August 18 Grandeur in Baltimore, no long lines.  But we were off in less than 5 minutes after the Concierge got the call that the ship was cleared for disembarkation.  So maybe, they were still getting the self disembark people moving.
