Rare pierces Posted December 17, 2018 #1 Share Posted December 17, 2018 Pictures taken between Monday, December 17 and Sunday, December 23. Rules: See above That's it. This isn't a contest. All photos taken this week are welcome (not just cruising). Prizes will not be awarded. Discovering the joy of photography is the prize. The idea is to get folks out using their cameras for more than vacations and toddler birthdays. Post one. Post many. Up to you. Have fun with your camera and share your fun with others! zackiedawg Posted December 26, 2018 #12 Share Posted December 26, 2018 Very Nice Ken...lucky you to get a fulvous whistler - those aren't too common and even when one is around, they're not always out in the open. Nice and close on the kingfisher too!
kenevenpar Posted December 26, 2018 #13 Share Posted December 26, 2018 I was pretty close on the Kingfisher, but even so, it is cropped, and was tough light. I got a few shots of it diving, but too much backlight. I also saw some black-bellied whistling ducks at Green Cay

Rare pierces Posted January 2, 2019 Author #17 Share Posted January 2, 2019 The clock is ticking down to the end of the year with all of the assorted Holiday chaos that comes along with it. The last day of Week 51 found us sharing coffee and breakfast on our way to a pre-gathering delivery of gifts. Richie's Real American diner is one of our favorite breakfast destinations and happened to be on the way. There are only three of them and we are fortunate to have one fairly close. With a real, working smoker out in front and a wide variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner items featuring items from said smoker as well as traditional fare, you would have to be unreasonably picky or trigger a yet-to-be-discovered food allergy to have a bad experience dining there. Ah, Americana! Dave
