CozGurl Posted January 4, 2019 #1 Share Posted January 4, 2019 We received $50 OBC from the agency we booked through. How would you spend it if it was yours?

Rare cheersforbeers Posted January 4, 2019 #3 Share Posted January 4, 2019 My bride is not a big drinker, like her spouse and we put it towards speciality coffees
victory2020 Posted January 4, 2019 #4 Share Posted January 4, 2019 If it's a refundable credit use it towards your service charges.
kochleffel Posted January 4, 2019 #5 Share Posted January 4, 2019 I don't choose the Unlimited Beverage Plan, but I'm also not a total abstainer, so I usually figure that it will count against my bar tab. Once I still had $32 in nonrefundable credit left on the last night and no plan for any further drinking on board, so purchased a bottle of Cognac. dcipjr Posted January 4, 2019 #6 Share Posted January 4, 2019 We don’t usually buy that much onboard, especially if we’ve got the beverage package as a perk. Any OBC usually subsidizes our CruiseNext certificates! Yeah, we’re boring, whatever! 😉
tallnthensome Posted January 4, 2019 #7 Share Posted January 4, 2019 $50 whole dollars? ....... Probably on a bunch of M&M’s and some liquor from the on board shops.

Rare BirdTravels Posted January 4, 2019 #10 Share Posted January 4, 2019 Some $10 t-shirts from your cruise
Rare ziggyuk Posted January 4, 2019 #11 Share Posted January 4, 2019 I always put it with my $100 shareholder perk for full payment of $250 Cruise Next voucher. Even if you have to take the $100 out your wallet it's still good value for a $250 voucher.

Nola26 Posted January 5, 2019 #16 Share Posted January 5, 2019 Defray the cost of a shore excursion or use it for the NCL post trip airport transfer, basically makes one passenger free. Try and exercise class that has a fee of $10-15 Shopping onboard: $10 sale day, cheap watch sale, specialty coffee, photos, lanyard for sea pass, etc.

When we get one from our TA, which is most of the time: we use it towards our final bill. If it is a non refundable OBC which is offered via the cruise line for something, we spend it in a gift shop or the casino.
Rare nikkiw60 Posted January 5, 2019 #18 Share Posted January 5, 2019 We have $100 each on our next cruise as part of a promotion. Our fare already includes drink package and all grats. I will probably use it in the spa or for shopping.

casofilia Posted January 6, 2019 #20 Share Posted January 6, 2019 As we normally RESERVE our NCL shorex because we have the $50 Shorex perk we would use it on shorex to cover the extra costs.
CozGurl Posted January 6, 2019 Author #21 Share Posted January 6, 2019 I wonder if we could eat in a specialty restaurant for $50? Maybe we'll apply it to laundry. $50 is an amount that you can't do a lot with but don't want to let it go to waste either.

casofilia Posted January 6, 2019 #23 Share Posted January 6, 2019 A main (entree) would set you back between $15 and $20 each so $50 would get you part of the way!!
