One of the great blessings of travel is meeting people.  Last year, while in Greece, I had the pleasure of befriending a Singaporean M&A attorney.  Today, we had the opportunity to reconnect as she graciously introduced the delights of her remarkable city state.  I hope to be able to return her generosity some day.002F4723-93FB-484A-AF8F-7915F6ACEFE5.thumb.jpeg.ff6734228a4caa2b9c6c5c7d14044843.jpeg

As I wrap up this “live” trip report, I finish with our last night in Singapore.8B4D65F3-7898-44DB-8EC9-586569B4BE9C.thumb.jpeg.6b3f4b6b255ab9963f8e93a63c7d9dc2.jpeg

We dined at one of the finest restaurants in the world; Les Amis.  If you ever have the chance to dine here I recommend it wholeheartedly.  I’ll be raving about this place for many years to come.

Upon arrival, we were treated to a 1/2-dozen of the lightest bread puffs sprinkled with gruyere I have ever had, followed by two amuse-bouches.

Second Course

La Noix De Saint-Jacques Aux Herbes

The most uniquely prepared scallop I have ever tasted.

Third Course

La Langoustine De Loctudy

By far, and I mean really, really far, the best langoustine I’ve ever had.  I may never eat lobster tail again.

Fourth Course

Le Bar De Saint Gilles-Croix-De-Vie

A very tasty sea bass that paired nicely with a glass of Pinot noir.

I hope you’ve all enjoyed this trip through SE Asia as much as we did.  Until we join JPAlbany and RachelG in Antarctica next January, I bid you all a wonderful year of sailing.

Brilliant as usual.Sorry we missed you on the Muse but it looks like you had a great time.

Les Amis is one of our go to restaurants in Singapore but we prefer Iggys at the Hilton. Both are always in the top lists for Asia and Singapore. You can try it next time you visit Sigapore!

After our WInd Cruise in May this year  we havent got any  SS cruises booked!!!  OMG!!

That’s a big problem Ann!  One that needs to be rectified I might add.

How ‘bout joining us in Spain 🇪🇸 for a gourmand food land tour in October 2020 then boarding the new Moon for a TA to the States where you then could spend Thanksgiving with your kids?

There’s a chance (and we’re hoping) Mr/Mrs ETUAL will be on board, and JollyJones is a lock.  Who knows, maybe others here who love TA’s (ZQTchas, Mr. Silver, Wellseasoned, Col Wes, etc.) will join in the fun and help Amy and I celebrate our first TA and enjoy it even more.  Maybe we could even convince ol’ LesB to retire and join in the fun!

So, what do you say Ann?  Can you talk the good doctor into booking it?  It’s priced super cheap right now as the occupancy rate is really, really low so far.

Here you go Charles; https://www.silversea.com/destinations/mediterranean-cruise/barcelona-to-fort-lauderdale-florida-mo201030024.html.  We booked it with NuNo before leaving the Shadow.

Although it doesn’t say so, all discounts are available for the voyage; 10% early booking discount, loyalty discount, on board booking, etc.  And, don’t forget to ask for the Venetian discount since the first segment (Barcelona to Barcelona) is a Venetian sailing.

Got the quote. Need to check on over 350 miles counts for more plus improvements from TA?

Pretty sure we will be on the TA segment.Unlikely to do the Barcelona-Barcelona segment as we will be taking the opportunity to catch up with one of Rojaan's bridesmaids who lives in Spain.
