Yesterday I got an email from the UK office. It’s the latest Azamara Insider. It includes a link to the UK Black Friday Sale (ends today), an advert for their Rome land Tour and links to a couple of Blogs - 4 best Hikes in Cape Town & Tips for your first time in Brazil. An email today from the UK office with the current UK sale promo. The sale is 40% off and includes a ‘Book with Confidence Guarantee’ which means you can change your cruise once at no cost.

No email, but "up to 40% off" is on the website "down under". Works for us on a couple of cruises we are interested in, but also has an end date of 29 February, which means we would have to book before boarding mid-March.

Again there appears to be a major fail in the IT email systems.  We're usually in receipt of the emails....

 

One of our fellow travelers alerted us to the fact have been advised overnight that our December 28 Cruise Mumbai to Cape Town has had its two day Mombassa Kenya stay cancelled citing safety and security reasons. Other ports have been substituted.  Unusual when the security level hasn't changed and is the same as other ports of call in Africa.  

 

We can accept that this decision has been made in the interests of safety and security but where is our advice?  Our Travel Agent doesn't have anything. The voyage planner is updated, but the excursions shown are still Mombassa....Those on private tours are impacted and need time and evidence to show that Azamara has cancelled that port of call.  It may also affect insurance claims for missed ports.

I sent my email to Azadatabase@azamara.com on 5th Dec (with a copy to the now defunct UK office).  No reply.

On the 12th March I did get an email apologising that it has "taken a little while to resolve this"  following my complaint that I was not getting emails dated October 2018.

So how many more months should I wait ?

We also seem to have fallen off their email list in recent times.

I am not that bothered anymore has I am sorry to say that they are rapidly falling off our favourites list.
