Free Norwegian cruise

Has everyone ever taken a up an offer given to them from Pechanga casino, a free cruise on Norwegian cruise Guests are responsible for any airfare ground transportation non-commissionable fares government taxes port expenses and fees...any Input would be appreciated.

Nothing specific from them, but most casino related cruises have co-marketing arrangements with the cruise lines with reciprocity of cruiser / player status, etc.  But the bottom line is aside from the ancillary costs you will pay, there typically is a minimum on board $ casino play expectation to support the "free" cruise - not unlike the comped rooms offered by land based casinos.  I would read the fine print carefully before accepting any offer.

That may be, but I am pretty certain there will be an expectation of $'s "invested" when on board as well.....

NCL is not going to want to donate a stateroom at n/c without the hope of gaining something back from your play in the casino, unless Pechanga is buying the value of the stateroom from NCL and then giving this to you as a reward for your investment with them.  But I would tend to think that is not likely.

Pechanga is buying the stateroom, but I’m going down to pick up the Certificate for a cruise and while I’m down there going to talk to somebody more about this thank you for your input.

If you ask on the NCL board, you may find others who have experienced this.

We just don't get these type offers, the only offers that come as a free cruise are for people who have already gambled large amounts (and lost) on previous cruises.

If interested you can usually upgrade your cabin at a cost or add a person. Also, make sure you get free drinks and you should  get priority boarding.

Not that specific casino, but on a past cruise on a different line we got talking with a couple one evening and he was telling us how the casino "gave" him the cruise. And his wife piped up and said, "Ya....after you lost over $10 grand"!

Are they selling shares in the casino? If so, are they private shares or will they be listed on an exchange?

We get "free" cruises by being a high level in the Players Club from MyChoice/Marquee casinos.  Various Hollywood Casinos, Boomtown in NOLA, L'Aberge, etc.  We are given an inside cabin and upgrade to a balcony.

 

There is NO expectation of how much we play in the casinos on board.  In fact, we play very little.

 

Quite different, though, from offers you receive directly from the casino onboard.

Of course, if you read CC a lot you will find that there are a number of people who always come out ahead in casinos — although I have a hard time figuring out why a casino would want to pay the cruise fare of people who do not contribute to the casino’s earnings.

 

I guess it’s just a mystery (or else gullible casino patrons have a tendency to not pay attention to their many losses, and only recall their occasional winnings).

I always come out ahead after visiting a Casino - ALWAYS!!!

 

That's because after I walk in, I immediately turn around and leave. 😊

Yes, the forums have some big winners bragging how great their win was. Maybe we can do a search and compile them.😋

I am not a gambler but my wife likes to play a bit. She will play a certain amount of money (equivalent to a night out to the movies amount) to see how long it will last and once it is gone, she leaves. There have been some moderate wins that replaces the money and may even pay for a few drinks but never anything to get a free cruise out of.

Don’t gamble that much on cruise! I feel that I’m not getting much playing as much as I do at my casino.

I just completed a cruise on Royal Caribbean and in the casino it said that you could earn a cruise with 2,400 points. I normally contribute $20 to the slots on a cruise and I did that on this cruise. At the end of 10 minutes I was down $20 and had amassed a whopping 10 points. Needless to say I didn't get a "free" cruise and likely won't any time soon.😉
