You could have asked concierge on Royal about disembarkation; or asked during week about all the benefits.  But as long as you had a good time and enjoyed the perks and suite; then I say it was a successful cruise.

I guess because I’ve sailed in suites with NCL and HAL I just expected it without having to ask. I never had to ask about the perks on those lines. They told us what to expect in day 1 when we were escorted onboard.

What was in the suite upgraded bathroom amenities? Elite guests are meant to get the same amenities, but they seem to have been cut in half - when I asked the steward, she said that's just how it is now. Wondering if that is really the case, or just another elite perk that they are trying to downsize....

I’m not sure. I did not take pics but lotion, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, a sleep kit with lavender stuff and some other little items that we never used. I bring my own stuff. I’ll see if I have any photos.

Welcome back HBC....thanks for the fun will be looking forward to the wrap up....

Just a reminder for those new cruisers from someone who is an oldy and moldy😮.....On all cruises you need to ask questions, regardless of what cabin cat or status.

Each and every cruise is unique and lines change policies all the time.......if we try a new line seems we stay always on top of things...but if it is one we've cruised a lot we are more complacent. Don't be, the worst they say no, but if you find their no (wishy washy) ask someone else. Just sayin'

Thx again HBC....

Thanks - sounds like the kit that elite used to get. I was just curious if it was also cut back in a suite, but it seems not....

Tomorrow I’ll upload my room tour video and work on the ship tour one. I know I videoed the bathroom so might have shots on what was included. Taking mom to lunch and airport soon.

When did we get lavender stuff as elite? Haven't had a suite since club class started, but think that is a new amenity. Only unless it's bath salts?????

Thanks! Yeh we were turned down for the Chefs Lumiere Dinner - we were  not “Royalty” enough to make the cut.🤣🤣 Happy with Wine Makers though!

Turned down for the Chefs Dinner?  We were hoping to do that.  Is it just who signs up first type of thing?  How do you sign up?

Never mind, I read some later responses and got my answers.  Thanks.

And thanks for such a great LIVE FROM.  We're leaving in 2 weeks so this was the perfect pre-cruise thread.  I'm looking forward to your ship tour video.  This is our first time on the Royal, so it's going to be brand new to you.

No special suite disembarkation like on NCL that I’ve noticed yet.

Follow-up. I asked the staff member in charge if suite guests get priority disembarkation. She said, “No.” Then I showed her this:

Shame on them. You were entitled  to be at the Priority Lounge im Vista. It was printed on  the disembarkation info sheet but rather hidden.  They should have made that clearer.

We were called at 7:00 am but were halted at the door for 15 mins. They call those in the lounge before the general groups.  Left the parking lot at 7:35 and got home at 2:30

It was so mice meeting you and your Mom, Tiffany.  We enjoyed spending time with everyone yesterday. Thank you for hosting all of us!

Our steward forgot to put ours in our room, but in fairness, all stewards were behind due to the Coast guard drill and rooms weren’t done until 1:30.  Before muster I did ask him about the Elite goodies, and then when he brought it

it only had what you’ve posted and a conditioner as well and a linen spray.  so I asked him would he

possibly be able to get us some bath gel, the “blue stuff” and he brought us two tubes of shampoos conditioner and a hand lotion as well.  So at least he tried, and air do appreciate it.  But I am not pleased that they are whittling the amenities down to nothing. It is just tacky, in my opinion.

Can anyone who just disembarked today tell me who the most traveled passengers were?  Thanks.

We weren’t at  the Captain’s party since we didn’t bring any  formalwear, and also, we never did receive an invite to the ball anyway. LOL.

And there wasn’t even a photo of the most traveled in the Patter this time.

I enjoyed following along. I'm looking forward to hearing more about your Ultimate Ship's Tour.

I will share the photos they gave us and show you the swag we got tomorrow. It was odd that they did not allow any personal photos. When we did this in September on The HAL ship the Nieuw Amsterdam I was permitted to take a ton of photos. It was free too.  No swag though.. and I LOVE the swag!

Do they still give you the plush robe? I wear mine everyday at home!

Yes!

I think I will sign up again next time we cruise. It's been a while since we did the tour - on Sapphire. Ironically, after paying to do the tour I started working shoreside for Princess and had to go to all these places on the ship as part of my pier supervisor position - and all for free. LOL. I've never felt the need to do the tour again, but we had so much fun that maybe I will next time!

Thanks again for taking us along on your trip - I enjoyed reading your adventures!

I should clarify that I worked shoreside for Princess back when we actually WERE employed by Princess. That seems to not be the case anymore and shoreside staff are contracted by other companies.....

Royal Princess Behind the Scenes Ship Tour.  Cost - $150.00 PP. Worth it IMHO, especially if you have never done it before.

Places we visited: Kitchen and prep areas, Laundry, Receiving Dock, On/Back Stage of the Theatre and Dressing Room, Control Room (very interesting), Print Shop, bow of the ship where the anchor and lines are held (loved this), Bridge (awesome) where we got to spend time with the Captain. We had time for Q and A with officers in each area and after the tour with our guide. Total time 2.5 hours.

Only downside - not being able to take personal photos, and we had a rather large group. It would have been better with about 6 people. When we did this on the HAL N. Amsterdam, it was just my DH and I. THAT was amazing!
