One day in the English Channel, I counted 50 ships around us, they need a few floating roundabouts out there, although they have their systems.

we have seen similar, plenty of ships coming and going and then there are the ferries and fishing boats as well.

Hasn't they ever heard of cruising?????

I am going colour blind looking at that diagram.  I will be in the Channel next year, in and out and in, if you know what I mean.

wondering what are the ships that are on land?

River Boats young fella.   Viking, APT, Scenic, Uiniworld, Avalon etc, how boring, yawn.

But then again, they could be Russian Submarines.🤐

Arriving in Portland, Dorset.

Portland is a central part of the Jurassic Coast and is very important for its geology and landforms. Portland stone is famous for its use in British and world architecture which includes among many others, St Paul's Cathedral and the United Nations Headquarters .

Portland Harbour is one of the largest man-made harbours in the world. The harbour was made by the building of stone breakwaters between 1848 and 1905 and played prominent roles during the First and Second World Wars.

The D Day exhibition is supposed to be good.  Reading the blog, pork pies were sold out at Marks & Spencer in Dover.  All those cruise pax wanting to try one, or perhaps a lot of ex poms on board.

Quite likely a lot of English getting on for this leg of the cruise.

Also poplar with Aussies and Kiwis who have had a holiday over there and choose to cruise home rather than fly .
