Hi.

We haven't sailed Celebrity for a bit..We are Elite level.  What type of perks do they give you during the sailing?  Specifically, Do they give you a laundry coupon for a discount?  Need to decide if we need to find a coin laundry before getting on the ship.  What about a day or two of complimentary internet?  Do they have a internet lounge?  We  are doing a 7 day Alaska sailing on the Millennium .  Do they have a Captain's club cocktail hour?  Any other specific perks please share.   They give a general overview on the website but I want to know what they give on the ship.

Thanks

You will get a free bag of laundry (sometimes based on itinerary -- Alaska may be a little different) and free pressing for a couple of items per elite passenger.

You will also get 90 minutes of free internet for each elite passenger and yes, they do have an iLounge onboard.

They do have a captain's club cocktail hour from 5 - 7 PM ... it may be held in it's own separate lounge or you may have 3 free drinks at limited bars with a limited menu instead of in addition to the lounge.  They keep revising the way they are holding it ...sometimes dependent on how many elite (and over) members are sailing.

There is also a coffee house breakfast, usually held in one of the specialty restaurants, where they provide an expanded continental breakfast but also mimosas, smoothies, bloody marys and specialty coffees.

Elite (and over) members get priority boarding but usually only after Suites, Aqua and Concierge.  I think the same goes for priority tendering off the ship.

There is also a special cocktail party with the senior officers.  Or it might just be a gathering of some sort in one of the lounges.

There is also a complimentary wine tasting event and a high tea event you will be invited to attend.

You may also be invited to the Helicopter pad for sail away.

Iv’e attached a photo of the Ultimate platter at the Elite breakfast held in the Tuscan Grill. This had been shared with my husband. There is also a cheese platter and a fruit platter. Sometimes if there are plenty of Elites on the cruise, it will be a buffet, which we had in 2015 on a Baltic Cruise.

On the ship make sure your seapass card has the word elite on it. And make sure you have a piece of paper in your stateroom on your arrival that list your elite benefits. Make note of the events because there are no reminders in the daily program. Otherwise it should have no surprises over what you see on the website in terms of the Captains Club Perks

Go to the Celebrity website and the lists of perk is there for you to review and print out.  It is under Tiers and Benefits when on Captain's Club.

Despite the fact that we live in Alaska we do Alaska cruises, and have done three on the Millennium.  While Alaska is one of those itineraries in which there can be water restrictions we have not experienced them on the now departed Century, the Infinity nor the Millennium.  When there are water restrictions in place the bags of free laundry are reduced from the standard 30 pieces to 20.

February of this year the CC change to unlimited drinks loaded on your Seapass card for all cruises no matter the number of elite and above cruisers. WCB, Room Service, the dining rooms and the first evening of the cruise are excluded.

You'll receive a full list of CC perks in your stateroom from the CC on embarkation day.

Think about it.  The laundry  on a 7 day cruise is almost useless.  The turnaround is 2 to 3 days.  Unless you have clothes that need to be sent to the laundry as soon as you board you basically have to pack for 7 days.

You have and wear  clothes for 3 days, send them to the laundry,   You will still need clothes for the 2 or 3 day turnaround.  That is now 5 or 6 days of clothing that you need.  You now have one day left on the cruise.  Unless you take clothes on board that need to be cleaned you aren’t really  saving much in packing

HI and thanks for all your help.  I should have mentioned the REASON I am concerned about laundry is that we are doing the Land Cruise tour first, so we will be gone for almost 2 weeks...hence laundry.  The last hotel we will be staying on land does not have a coin laundry.

So you think we will get the laundry perk???

If you are Elite, you most certainly will get the perk.  If there is not a laundry bag/list in the closet ask your room steward the first day.

Yes, if you are Elite you will get a laundry perk.  The question is if it will be 20 items or 30 items, and you really won't know until you board and see the instruction letter.  Remember that each of you gets it -- so it would be 40 items or 60 items total.

We use laundry all the time and find the normal turn around time to be 1 day.   We usually leave laundry out at night time when leaving for dinner it is usually back the next night in late afternoon or while at dinner.

We received the laundry perk on our 7 day Mediterranean cruise last year. We had spent three days in Barcelona pre-cruise. Since there are five of us, including three kids, we loved the laundry perk! We stuffed that paper bag full of tees and undergarments. The turn around was two days or under.

Still very valuable when you are traveling beforehand.

Two days for DW. And three days for me last cruise. Despite being sent in the same day. According to our cabin girl this is a normal (Silhouette) timescale for Elite members.
