judydoc Posted November 4, 2019 #1 Share Posted November 4, 2019 Going Epic in a couple weeks and are thinking of going to the Steak House one night. We don't want a package deal. What would it cost for one night per person??
tallnthensome Posted November 4, 2019 #2 Share Posted November 4, 2019 (edited) Well, that depends on what you order. Nobody would know that answer. Edited November 4, 2019 by tallnthensome 1
zqvol Posted November 4, 2019 #3 Share Posted November 4, 2019 (edited) Remembering the menu from a few weeks ago, my guess is that you would spend between $45 and $60 per person at Cagney's. Edited November 4, 2019 by zqvol
joeyancho Posted November 4, 2019 #4 Share Posted November 4, 2019 You can Google Cagney's menus to view the prices.

Love my butler Posted November 4, 2019 #7 Share Posted November 4, 2019 To have a decent meal you are looking at about $80 per person including mandatory tips. Ridiculous price for what you get.
calizona Posted November 4, 2019 #8 Share Posted November 4, 2019 For the price of one meal per person in any al a cart restaurant you would be nearly 3/4 of the way towards a dinning package for 3 meals per person.
cksv Posted November 4, 2019 #9 Share Posted November 4, 2019 (edited) Took this pic while onboard the Breakaway last month. Cagney’s seems to get a little pricier each cruise. Edited November 4, 2019 by cksv

Yes, they jumped right out of a price range for single meal. Way too expensive for the quality you get. That is just my opinion.

hallux Posted November 5, 2019 #12 Share Posted November 5, 2019 Last week on the Bliss I had the crabcake, non-petite filet with 2 sides and the OMG cheesecake and the bill would have been $72-$74 before gratuities if I had paid out of pocket. I had the dining plan so it cost me nothing.
gmbhardy Posted November 5, 2019 #13 Share Posted November 5, 2019 Our bill for two people was $134.00 two weeks ago on the Breakaway. They did not have the jumbo shrimp cocktail on the menu, just a standard shrimp cocktail with tiny shrimp. More cutbacks.

Just the surf and turf alone is $60. The prices are ridiculous.
Rare Greenpea2 Posted November 5, 2019 #17 Share Posted November 5, 2019 I couldn’t see the prices well. Just magnified it and reassessed. It would be about $50. Shrimp cocktail, small filet and two sides. I dont also eat salad and soup. Too much food.

Of course a lot depends on how many courses you order and what price you choose. You can take a look at a menu when you get on the ship. Be sure to make reservations early as they do fill up pretty fast.

laurabegorrah Posted November 5, 2019 #20 Share Posted November 5, 2019 Just an FYI, both Le Bistro and La Cuchina have fabulous steak options on their menus that might end up costing you less. If you end goal is just to have a delicious steak, I would check out those menus as well.

FLAHAM Posted November 5, 2019 #22 Share Posted November 5, 2019 (edited) Shrimp Cocktail+Petite 5 oz Filet (smallest, cheapest steak offered)+2 sides = $13+$26+12 = $51+20% Service Charge+$5 additional tip typically left in specialty restaurants = $65. No salad, no dessert, no cash drinks. Most would find this a minimalist dinner with an $80+ price tag more likely. Add a dessert and gratuity and closer to $65-$70.

Not a lot of reservations are available for the cruise. Our last cruise I did them on the NCL app as soon as we boarded
