More good news for you assuming that you actually wish to gamble with your non refundable OBC.  Yes, you can use it in the Casino without paying a fee.  I have several times.  What do you usually play?

I just play the slots. Dont know enough about how to bet on the tables. What is the fee? Unaware of this.  I understand you only keep your winnings as its NR OBC. Makes sense.

Yes. Sadly.......  🙂

I think of it rather as a "discount" in that you get to pay the next category down (as long as within same category.)  So if I want to book C1 I get a "discount" to pay C2.  Same idea but somehow seems easier for me to think about.

You can only move from C3 to C2. C1's are not eligible for the 1 category upgrade.

I went to the casino cage and received $100 credit against my non refundable OBC.  (I play video porker).

I had to make $100 worth of bets.  You can load the credits into the machine in whatever increments that you wish.  The machine keeps track, but you can “cash out” at times to help keep track.  I was able to keep my winnings and pushes.  I hope this makes sense to you.

I may just play the slots and use a 20 dollar bill at a time. I can use the obc for a spa service or god knows what else. I also just read there is no liquor store on the Edge/Apex but that's probably for another thread.  Have read so many negative reviews of the Edge am now rethinking my decision to book Apex.

Effective 10 October 2019, all passengers who choose the bundled BP perk will be charged $14 PPPD. Celebrity offsetting the cost of the bundled BP perk.  Any cruise you've booked prior to 10 October 2019 will not be charged the $14.00 PPPD for the bundled BP perk.

The $14 charge pp per day is built into your cruise fare. There hasn't been a price increase in the Bev package in several years, so they told me.

Did you select the 4 perk bundled package? If so as you know that comes with the PBP and is not subject to the $14.00 PPPD charge when you booked your cruise.

I actually booked end of August an oceanview verandah then with the VETS sale upgraded to a C2 cabin with the 4 perks so not sure which date they'll use.

As long as you didn't cancel your original booking when you upgraded you are not subject to the charge. If you kept the original booking# you're good. The charge is added to the cruise cost, not charged on board like your gratuities are.

Yes I kept the original booking number so all is good. I have a CC cabin on a high deck and now with all the perks I dont mind dropping down to a regular IV if there is some money to be saved. Will see what if any offerings they have next week.

For many that do not purchase a drink package the free 5-7 PM drinks could amount to quite a savings depending on how many drinks one has.

Jim,

You got that right.  We don't do the overpriced drinks packages since we don't start drinking until the Elite Happy Hour and mainly drink wine.  We usually buy a 7 bottle wine package so we have wine for dinner.  I am glad that Celebrity finally came up with the option for a NON-promo, cheaper option.

The free bag of laundry is great, since we each get one.
