cmichael1279 Posted December 3, 2019 #1 Share Posted December 3, 2019 Any sightings on any of the other ships?? https://cruiseradio.net/guys-burger-joint-now-serves-breakfast/?fbclid=IwAR0VZvNtap6GWPc_EsmHhMUJQK2n53_ZOWdGuI8C46GmeOSZNjHDw4VE0RI

Rare jimbo5544 Posted December 3, 2019 #4 Share Posted December 3, 2019 Saw it on a FB post, with the menu. Plan on it rolling out to other ships, possibly all. Think it is a flat out home run. Steak and egg for dinner works, I am sure a burger and egg will as well. Great idea to off load some of the Lido crowded lines.
Rare Jamman54 Posted December 3, 2019 #5 Share Posted December 3, 2019 When we're back on the Sunrise in May I may have to alternate with a breakfast burrito from the Blue Iguana Iguana cantina, with an All American breakfast burger from Guys. Both washed down with a Thirsty Frog of course! 😀

Back to the original post, thanks for sharing the news, cmichael1279. It certainly wasn't on the Freedom when I was on her last month. We'll have to see if they test it on the Breeze next month. I'm intrigued. I don't think it's a great combination, but that wouldn't stop me from sampling it once or twice.
amyotravel Posted December 3, 2019 #7 Share Posted December 3, 2019 Jamman, combine a Guy's burger patty, egg, and gravy with some rice from Blue Iguana and you can make yourself a very popular Hawaiian dish: Loco Moco! 2
TNcruising02 Posted December 3, 2019 #8 Share Posted December 3, 2019 That's great. I will have to try the Prime Time Turkey when I see it available. I am glad they are making breakfast options. This should also free up a little space at the buffet.

trvlgirlmq Posted December 3, 2019 #11 Share Posted December 3, 2019 Nice to see more choices. I'm still a tried and true MDR breakfast gal (except the 1 morning I must have arepas and huevos rancheros) but if this helps with the Lido lines then that is great.
ricew001 Posted December 3, 2019 #12 Share Posted December 3, 2019 I've seen plenty of places offering burgers with eggs. I really enjoyed Guy's burgers on my cruise last month - first time I'd had them. Was a nice option for something different. Given that I'm picky I liked having the fixings bar where I selected my own toppings.
Rare crewsweeper Posted December 3, 2019 #13 Share Posted December 3, 2019 Thank You Carnival for reducing the lines at the Blue Iguana burrito bar and the omelet stations on the Lido.

livingthedream1 Posted December 3, 2019 #16 Share Posted December 3, 2019 Just off the Sunrise this past Thanksgiving week and they had them. It was surprisingly good. And the service was very personable. Actually ate 3 out of the 5 mornings there.
NCTribeFan Posted December 3, 2019 #17 Share Posted December 3, 2019 Sounds good to me! I tried the Breakfast Spaghetti last month on Sunshine and really enjoyed it. Soft-boiled egg and pasta? I was pleasantly surprised. Had considered a burger but wanted to try something I'd never had before. Will happily try any new breakfast options in the future!

You bring up a fairly good point. The breakfast and lunch crowds on Lido is the busiest area on any Carnival ship. This option, and options are certainly a good thing, offer their clients more choices around breakfast (in this case). Def worth trying.

cmichael1279 Posted December 3, 2019 Author #21 Share Posted December 3, 2019 I often see burgers with eggs referred to as "hangover burgers" or something similar - seems like a perfect idea to me for some of my mornings on a Carnival ship! 🙂
LandlockedCruiser01 Posted December 3, 2019 #22 Share Posted December 3, 2019 Wow, this is interesting. I'll have to try it on my next cruise. Last time I cruised, Guy's Burgers functioned as a continental breakfast buffet: fruits, pastries, cold cuts, and cheeses. It supplemented the Lido buffet, the omelet station, and the Blue Iguana Cantina.

Doesn't breakfast in the MDR (not Sea Day Brunch) end too early for a lot of folks? Anything that is a bit later is good.
