Yes, we were told it was not installed because the noise interfered with Guest Services.

The events in the Centrum on Vision class make it nearly impossible to talk with GS.  Yet it continues for decades.

A huge change for Oasis of the Seas is the addition of the Perfect Storm water slides.

The entrance and stairs for all three slides is on deck 15 port side.

The slides are a lot of fun and they've been open even on port days when there are no lines and you can slide and slide again.

Thank you for all these pictures. We were on the Harmony and did not like the blue and yellow slides because they were pitch black. How were the orange and pink slides on the Oasis? They look like they have a design that might let some light in. Thank you for your time!

They are not pitch black.  In places they have clear sections and in places they have pinhole lighting effects.  I was able to see quite well at all times.

This is all great info and pics!  Can we also assume the Allure refurb in 2020 will mirror this one?

Most likely very similar, but probably a few differences too.

The Giovanni's on Oasis hasn't really changed.  On Allure that will be different as they are projected to merge Giovanni's and Vintages into one space.

Rumors are that the new deck 14 forward cabins will also come to Allure so on the surface it seems Oasis and Allure will be very similar other than Giovanni's.  If they implement a Central Park Library and other small details remain unclear such as the use of the old Diamond Lounge space.  Only time will tell.

Actually if you go to the sailings out of Galveston for Allure you can book all the cabins on deck 14 including the UP suite and the old Diamond lounge area on decks 11 and 12 has the same set up for cabins/card room as Oasis. Those are also available to book. Deck plans also show Central Park Library.

I was surprised they changed the Diamond Lounge into a Card/Game type room. Any thoughts on why? Was there a need for that kind of space? Would have made more sense to me if they turned it into a restaurant or some kind of a pay venue

Most of the space was converted to cabins.  It’s a small card room.

Glad to see they've opened them up.  They were not available to book at NextCruise two weeks ago.

Pretty amazing.  All those new deck 14 cabins including the UP suites are sold out through 2022.  No wonder they added them.

Most likely not released for sale yet.

Comparing the plans the biggest changes (and they are not that big) between Oasis and Allure are Giovanni’s and Vintages being replaced by Giovannis kitchen table.

Samba being eliminated on Allure and adding Solarium bistro like on Oasis.

Next cruise is on deck 5 on Allure and Loyalty ambassador is deck 6 on Allure where on Oasis next cruise is deck 6 and the LA is upper level of the card room.

Are they merging the actual spaces of Vintages and Giovanni's? Any pictures or details? That would be a fairly large space?

Yes, the 2 spaces will become 1.

Oasis was upgraded to RFID SeaPass cards but they have a special punch at guest services for those that want to use a lanyard.

What is a "RFID" SeaPass card and how does it work?

They've added a library to Central Park:

Are you able to check out books? Or do they have to remain in the library? I'm excited about looking at some of those Caribbean books to get new ideas on places to go and things to see.

A new card room replaces the Diamond Lounge that was moved down to deck 4.

Do they have games in there to play? I didn't notice any shelves in your pictures in there that you will usually find the games put on while on other ships.

We will be on the Oasis in a few months and I'm super excited about it....even more now that you have shared these pictures. Did you have a review of the rest of the ship with pictures previously? You have some amazing pictures. Thanks so much for sharing.
