Spire2000 Posted January 24, 2020 #1 Share Posted January 24, 2020 We were slotted, three of us, in an interior "I" class room for an upcoming 11-day cruise on the Koningsdam. After seeing some pictures, we realized how small it was. A quick note to our PCC at HAL and we were offered a VH Verandah for a total of what would be $450 USD equivalent. That's two giant leaps in cabin classes for a very low price for 11 days. Very pleased and couldn't thank our PCC enough.
boom_boom Posted January 24, 2020 #2 Share Posted January 24, 2020 That seems a reasonable price to pay for that kind of move. Enjoy!

Djptcp Posted January 24, 2020 #4 Share Posted January 24, 2020 Great deal! We had a VH Verandah cabin (4099) right near the mid-ship elevators on our recent 10-day Koningsdam cruise and loved it. It was an obstructed view, but we could see straight out over the lifeboats and it was still enjoyable. Enjoy your cruise!

Krazy Kruizers Posted January 25, 2020 #8 Share Posted January 25, 2020 That sounds wonderful for 3 people and getting a verandah. You will be much happier with the larger cabin and verandah. Enjoy your cruise.
LocoLoco1 Posted January 27, 2020 #9 Share Posted January 27, 2020 Nice. I remind friends that 3 People need room for.... 3 people.
Pinkkong Posted January 27, 2020 #10 Share Posted January 27, 2020 You will be much happier on the verandah. The Koningsdam interiors are really cramped. Two people in those would be pretty tight, let alone 3.

The PCC works for HAL, and takes the place of a TA, but for HAL only. The PCC will not make airline reservations, unless they are HAL's Flight Ease. Pre- or post-cruise hotels must be the HAL package; if you want to book on your own, you book it yourself. Same is true for any car service you may need---you find it and book it. The PCC will take your cruise reservation, make any changes that you require, and may let you know about any special deals or upgrade possibilities.

highland cruiser Posted February 18, 2020 #14 Share Posted February 18, 2020 Great up sell. You will enjoy the new room. After having a veranda it will be hard to go back to an interior room!!

barb-ottawa Posted February 18, 2020 #17 Share Posted February 18, 2020 We had a VH category balcony room - 4066 - on the Koningsdam in January and had to be moved to another room because the noise from BB Kings was too disturbing. Note that BB Kings is 2 levels and we were right above them - did not notice that when we booked.
