now Day 3 - nada

sorry, I do realize how serious this is for y'all who have been waiting 120+ days ... no excuse whatsoever for that

You should start a betting syndicate - see who gets closest to your FCC date. Lol. You could stand to make BIG money!

I've been offline for a bit and was surprised to see that they reversed your refund.  It actually made me check mine but thankfully they didn't do that to us.  I think that is the very definition of adding insult to injury.  Hoping it didn't drive N over the edge, and that you do get your refund quickly and permanently!  Geesh.

Princess's accounting/finance department needs help. So much for making sure they get everything accurate. It is not the entire amount but still......

Especially when people are waiting for 5 figures. Especially with all of the problems out there with job losses, people ill, etc...

So true!  I can understand some initial issues since this is something they have never dealt with before.  But it's been more than 4 months since they announced the first pause and they have had plenty of time to put systems in place to prioritize and track the processing of refunds.  And to develop a communication plan to keep cruisers apprised of where their refund stands.  I no longer have no sympathy for what Princess is going through but plenty for those who have been made to wait and have been lied to about the status of their refunds.  Lousy for loyal passengers and for Princess employees who have to deal with not having accurate info at their fingertips.  It could have gone so much better and I blame those at the top for not handling this as well as they could have.

Heads up guys.

I called today and had to wait 1:32 hrs to get through (27 minute wait for general rep. who then passed me on to customer relations specialist where I waited the rest of the  BUT, then she went and sent an email to processing dept. and therefore she guaranteed me (three times times in fact! Grin) that my refunds would be processed to credit card by end of business TODAY! (The were for August-Sept.cruises that I personally cancelled the end of April).  So I am all squared away from having to cancel 4 cruises and now am looking forward to my next 4 cruises (March, 2021-February, 2022).

Pooh

Had to find out if your triple guaranteed refunds came in. Yes?🤞🤞

Finally made whole - FCC posted on both Diane’s and my account for May and Oct cruises. Most frustrating financial mess I’ve ever been involved with - Princess kept changing what they were going to do (credit card refundS, future cruise credits and or shipboard credits).  Mid-July, got two credit card refunds and this week the FCC.

Everything through my TA. Nothing written nor in emails. Now Princess is sending us emails with cruise offers. It will be a while before we book with them. Not til they get their act together and learn to value their loyal customer. “Elite” meant nothing when it came to this fiasco.

Totally agree. Our refunds from Carnival & Royal have gotten so much faster since the beginning-now only 10-20 days after putting in the request. What is happening with Princess!! Finally got the 1st one from them after 90+ days!

just checked my credit card and princess has sent through 2 new charges for excursions for our cruise that was cancelled in March...what the####.  $2300  worth of charges for a cruise line that isn't operating and a cruise that never happened?    The finance department needs to clean house and hire some teenagers who know how internet banking works!!!

This is similar to what I am dealing with. They reversed the refund of excursions for a cruise in April. It makes no sense.

In mid-March, we cancelled a 28-night cruise that started in late May. At the time, we had a 50% cancellation penalty, which should have been an FCC. In May, we started credit card disputes because we had neither the FCC nor refunds. By mid-June, we had 100% of our money back through disputes that had been resolved. Two days ago, our Princess accounts showed the FCC. What is likely to happen next? Can Princess claw back refunds received through a credit card dispute? Will the FCC be cancelled at some point?

Today (26th July) we had FCCs for our May cancelled cruise on both our Captain Circle accounts even though we asked for a full cash refund. Our full cash refund option was confirmed (we have the March 31st automatic confirmation email) with their customer support line on Friday (24th July) and on a previous phone call in June. On our Friday phone call we were told she had checked and that we will probably need to wait for another 2 weeks.

Not sure that there is anyone at Princess that knows how their "system" works and there doesn't seem to be anyone you can ask. Guess will just wait another fortnight and see what happens - nothing I suspect!

It's great to be a Princess Elite customer - such service!

YES - Similar position - confirmed in writing my request for refund (not FCC)  on 20th June.... but today received FCC in Our Princess accounts !!!!! Just two days ago I enlisted(Australian)  bank for chargeback on Credit Card under "Merchant promised refund but not received" clause. I'm going to let them sort it out. As an aside, I was thankful to learn that even though it had been about 120 days since the credit card charge, they would take on the case., had always thought it needed to be within about 60 (but perhaps that is for the "Goods not received" category). Our cruise was to be May 2020, which Princess cancelled end of March, if that helps the timeline for those of you still waiting.

Me too!  We had all of our first cancelled cruise from April settled and now they have reversed the amount for our excursions.  We are SO disappointed.  And, we continue to wait for the deposit refund for our September cruise.  Princess has lost our loyalty and it will take a very special cruise routing to get us back.

Yes!   They just clawed back the amount for our excursions!

In a TA webinar several days ago about Pause 4 there were a couple of tidbits about the refunds/FCCs.

a) There was no time frame promised to have Pause 4 refunds/FCCs processed. Did not want to promise what might not be achievable.

b) Guests get an E-mail when FCCs are created from the pause cancellations. The E-mail comes from a different address, so it may go to client's spam. Best way to find out if FCCs have been issued is to look in My Princess.

---- So, has anyone who received FCCs received such an E-mail?

I haven't heard of anyone getting an email re FCCs

I suggest ONLY those who HAVE received  an email advising

post else we are going to have pages and pages  and pages

advising non receipt.  🙂

Brilliant news.164 days for us, have emailed many times and phoned princess as you recommended, but waited until 100 days before I started the process. It's now with credit card fingers crossed not left it too late to apply.

Our Regal Princess cruise cancelled yesterday for 14th November, so I will wait up to 90 days then go to credit card company.

Let me revise this - mine is the same cost as my air refund that was done more than 45 days out. My air refund and my shore excursions were both in the $13xx range and that is what is recalled. I ran numbers all of Friday and my last night - I was the wrong information.

In early July I cancelled two cruises for this October. I knew that if I waited a bit I would probably get more than my deposits back from Princess if they cancelled those cruises(additional FCC). I chose to cancel first so as not to get into the mass refunds due as we had in our phase one cancellations. My credits appeared on my credit card within a week. I rather have my money quickly than get caught up in my 87 day  wait again. And Princess cancelled those cruises this week.

It is unbelievable that people are still waiting since March for their refunds. Something is horribly wrong in Princess' processing system. We are all living with such stress right now (Covid 19) and money should not be an added stress.

In reading this thread, I feel so sorry for all that are still waiting. Now I am reading about the charge backs. What is happening with Princess, crazy.

I just cancelled a Dec 18th cruise for this same reason.
