Rare A&L_Ont Posted August 15, 2021 #26226 Share Posted August 15, 2021 (edited) She needs to stretch. And relax. I took Owen to ball practice this morning with the GT. The bat barely fits behind my seat. Ball bag and cleats fit under the hood. After the drop off I went to Timmies and sat outside with my coffee and watched the stationary car show. Always fun to watch people looking at the GT. When I was getting ready to leave I talked with two families with young children for about 10 minutes. Kids are the future for the car culture so it is always important to give them time. Edited August 15, 2021 by A&L_Ont

During Christmas they displayed Christmas lights that danced to music and had "snow" falling from the sky. The lights began when the Osborne family, from Arkansas, agreed to donate their display to Disney. Initially called The Osborne Family Festival of Lights, the display debuted at MGM Studios ( now HS) for the 1995 holiday season. Each year more was added and it grew to over 5 million lights displayed. 2015 was the last year of the display. This area is the land that eventually became Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Ah, thanks for bringing back the memory of Osborne family. We saw them couple of times, the last time was 2011. Very sad not to see them in 2018 when we went back. The replacement was just some sucky light show and basic fireworks. Not in the same world class as the Osborne. Had to dig pretty deep in my photo archive to find few of the old Osborne lights for people not familar with it. If you look closely at the last picture, you will see the "snow" ( or snope - combination of snow/soap) in the air. Christmas in August, ho, ho, ho. 9

I got an opportunity to do computer show programming for a company called Animated Lighting. They specialized on computerized Christmas light shows. Their controllers and ones from a company called Lightorama were used in their display. Since I am a Christmas freak I used some of the money I earned on buying their products. Here is a video I made of my display where I did the programming. It uses 16 channels and I have 3 animated trees with over thousand lights. It's not Christmas yet but here it is anyway. Gorgeous!

When you travel with only 6 persons, u don't waste to much time like a bus. 3

A long time ago! It was always exciting. When my DH and I did did a TA on QEII, we sailed from that area, but our flight was so late, I was frantic to get to check in before they closed up, so didn’t look at anything. Sailing out, I could see tennis courts, etc, on the old piers. And then, of course, we stood all the way aft waiting to see the funnel hit the Verrazano Narrows Bridge. I kept saying we wouldn’t hit it, but had my camera ready to take a picture as the funnel fell on us! I never drove on the GW or in Manhattan.I only drove in Brooklyn and LI. The area was used during the holidays where they show the kids what a real reindeer looks like and sell ginger bread cookies that they can decorate. Also serves as a place for people to eat/drink holiday treats. These pics were from December 2015. They tore it down few months later for Star Wars.
