Royal Caribbean Cruisers -- How Are Things Where You Are? (was "Routine" 😁 day in lockdown... how was yours?)

Thank God Shelagh is okay.  Shook up, and probably mad as hell, but she's okay.

Yup.  We both took ours at 62.  Living the dream😁

Thank you, Debbie!  When we moved here, we couldn't get Verizon, due to all of the trees on our property, next door trees, and the woods behind our property.  So, it's been comcast/infinity, and their prices just kept going higher and higher.  That's when we decided to just get internet.  Which, to me, is pricey at the rate of $125.88.  Once December arrives, I'm sure we'll be seeing another increase.

Thankfully, our cable is included in our maintenance fee in Florida;  internet costs us around $35 or so.

So many happy memories!!  That's what this thread brings to us all, as we all recall our many experiences whenever anyone brings up a certain person,  place, period of time, etc.

A friend who I have know since my teen years just sent me a music e-mail about products used in the 50’s with music from that era.So many enjoyable things that are not around any longer.

It has been too long since they had a great season.

This season is off to a bad start as well. But, 80 more games & 6 months to go. I purchases a partial season plan, 11 games. 10 more to go!

Bonnie, I sure hope there isn't any damage, and that you are starting to feel less pain by now.

Owen is such a handsome young man!

Jim was 52 when he retired after 30 years on the job as a FDNY firefighter.  I retired 2 months later, at the age of 50.

A guy who I knew was a retired Major League Baseball player and then joined the FDNY.He was with the NYC Fire Patrol.

Two friends who retired from the FDNY at early ages went on to work in other fields.

Thank you, Lucky Nana-

I was blessed with a childhood that gave me the experience of living close to Manhattan and the enjoyment of country life with my Grandmother ,aunts, uncles and cousins on the Easten End of Long Island.

It is a beautiful day here on LI. Temperatures are in the mid seventies this afternoon. My DH and I have returned from a visit to one of our favorite beaches.

Wishing all who post here a good day !

Wow! That is awesome!  Congratulations on your big win!

What is name of that slot?

Inquiring minds want to know!  I was wondering the same thing, Debbie🤔

WOW you have the magic touch. That will pay for a couple of cruises.

It sure will!  I saw $1,500, not $15,000.  It wasn't until you posted this, Greg, that I realized the great amount that Sue had actually won;  and here I was thinking the $1,500 was a nice amount.  LOL!  Lucky Lady, indeed!

Haven’t posted a lake picture for a while. Here is one from this morning’s walk.

Got flu shots this morning, picked up supplies, and doing spa maintenance.

Now to get serious about getting things ready for our cruise.  We fly (hopefully) a week from today.

Beautiful picture, Mark.  What ship, what port, what time is Sail Away?

We are sailing Odyssey of the Seas from Fort Lauderdale.   8 night Southern Caribbean with stops at Coco Cay, Curaçao, and Aruba.   Sail away is supposed to be at 6 pm on Saturday, October 23.

We have our COVID test scheduled at CVS next Thursday, and our backup At-home tests from Optum just arrived yesterday.  Flying down the day before on a nonstop flight.

That was awesome.  Thanks for posting.  Love Steve Tasker.  If that guy doesn't end up in the Hall of Fame it will be a travesty.  I like how they flashed back to some of the players from years ago (years in the making).  I even think I saw Doug Flutie in there.

I spotted Flutie as well. Your eyes are not failing you.

Last night as Radio would say the casino was very lionesss friendly.

I won $15,000.

Great machine.

After I got my pay out I went to another machine and won $1,200.

Done in casino.

Very friendly. 😁  They might give you 3 cruises for free to make up for their loss.😉

This surprise could help cover so much… wedding, garage, future cruises, taking me on a cruise.😂

Congrats on your spectacular win.

Not sure if anyone talked about this or not, signed on the first time in a few days.

Adele's  new song, been on youtube for only 21 hours and has 35 million views all ready....Unbelieveable. She has such a pretty voice and not hard to look at either. 🙂

Dani, why must they take 3 years off?

This job is very sought after. Still deemed "glamorous".😉

They want to give a "chance" to everyone to "taste" travel abroad.

Don't forget -- we don't have domestic flights, every flight is "international"...

Another big win for Owen’s team but it was a slow start. They were down 8/0 bottom of the half. They have a solid defence and their eight points were from a safety and a play where the QB should have ate the ball. We were on their 25, first down and he made a crazy pass that was intercepted for a TD.

There was a second half comeback for the victory.  Owen did his part as well. Final score 28/8.

Edit, we also were not deluged by the rain.  Currently pouring here.

Opening kickoff.

For sure.

We met Doug Flutie on a cruise about ten years ago and have a picture with him and my wife Shelagh , it was a nine day cruise out of Brooklyn, nice guy. I not sure but don’t know of any special team players in hall of fame, but I agree would love to see him there.

When my uncle retired from  the FDNY, he became a concrete inspector. We didn’t know he knew anything about concrete.

His son was interviewed on NPR after 9/11. He was introduced as a Battalion Commander at a station in Lower Manhattan. His station had great losses.
He was home recovering from a serious injury on the job, so he survived 9/11.
I had not heard his voice since he was a toddler. He really had a New York accent, whereas the older generations of our family didn’t.

Do you happen to know how many mbps you have with comcast now?     We got 200 mbps yesterday with their special and today we gave it a try out - had labtop on, both phones in use and streaming movies on all 3 tv's and everything worked well.

I have to check but I think we have alot mbps at home and now know for fact we can reduce that.   Maybe you want to check your account and maybe you can reduce it too?

We are having a gorgeous day in LBI.    Almost reached 80 and saw a bunch of different groups of people hanging out on the beach.     Last year this same week we were at lbi staying at the spray beach hotel and I recall having a couple days of decent weather and sun bathing by the pool.

this is perfect weather for me 🤩

We watched him play multiple times in Calgary and in Toronto when he was in the CFL. One heck of a QB.

@Ozark_Kid @DaniDanielle     Eric was saying last night maybe we should do a b2b on Anthem in January.     when he has these brain storms I don't miss out - LOL!

My concern was all the balconies are filled up.

Nope, to my surprise this morning they have added a bunch of balconies for all 3 of the 11 night sailings in January

I called clubroyale to see what kind of discount prime members get for a non -casino cruise.     When she told me the price, we were shocked - it is 40% off the online price I got with diamond balcony discount, 55+ discount and resident discount.

I told Eric and he said book it Now!

So we are now booked for 11 night sailing on 1/09 and will stay on board for the 11 night sailing on 1/20.      Woohoo!    22 nights on Anthem - cannot wait😀

Unfortunately we could not get same cabin for the b2b but will survive as they make it nice and easy to move and we are only going a couple cabins away - maybe we'll have same cabin steward.
