On a very sad note, we just found out our dear friend and pastor of our Church, died this morning.

He was 71 and always on the move.  He baptized our daughters and celebrated many of our happy times with us. May he Rest In Peace.

71 is too young to die. Was he sick?

That's nuts.  Makes you wonder about the accuracy of some of these tests.  You are LONG overdue for some good news Ken.

I'm sorry to hear this.  Such a shame to lose him at only 71.  My condolences.

No end to this Covid mess....

Our "kids" are in their 20s, but it must be tough for real kids to be dealing with Covid.  It seems like they no longer have a routine.  Everything is constantly changing.  School one day, home the next.  Maybe it will make them better able to handle change when they grow up???

I have a few grips comparable to this. I like the magnetic style, as they are nice and have a firm grip. I also had a suction cup style too.

I think I remember someone on here had a GoPro that was attached like that, and it took “A voyage to the bottom of the sea”

MMMM, I wonder who that was.😂. Suction cup grips need a smooth non textured surface for a solid grip. I never did find it, after it fell of the chartered boat, I only hope a young kid did and put it to good use.

No, he was always running somewhere.  Yesterday he had a meeting with a group of priests.  Every morning he was at the school greeting the kids. My grandchildren are heartbroken.  My daughter teaches at the school and just saw him yesterday.

He sounds like a man of the people and that many will miss him.

On another note.  A warning to Canadians using Lifelabs fly clear program.  This is what we used get Sarah's test.  Supposed to get results back in 24 to 48 hours and you book your appointment based on your travel date.  It took us 96 hours to get Sarah's results back.  Good thing I made up travel dates and we were not traveling on the dates I submitted or we would have been stuck without test results.

Good grief, Ken!  What a disgrace.  Our granddaughter was tested several days before Christmas, and my daughter never did get the results of the test.  We did not get together on Christmas Eve, nor on Christmas Day.  Two days after Christmas, my daughter finally found a store that had the test kit, and after getting home and giving our granddaughter the test, we found out that Ava was indeed Positive with Covid.  Now our grandson has the Virus.  I think we all are going to get this darned Covid, vaccinated or not.

I am so sorry, Marietta.  What is Father's name, if I may ask?

Thanks. First time I had no luck with the person administering the jab... He "jabbed" very hard, I have a hematoma and it hurts. I gave up 2 hours ago and took an Advil for the pain. I'm not spoiled. Gave birth twice without epidural... but this time is painful. Beside the arm, I'm feeling OK.

DH is ok, his arm hurts much less than mine.

Grandkid #1 went back [after running a slight fever on and off for almost a week] this morning to the kindergarten, only to be sent back after a couple of hours, along with the other kids -- his kindergarten teacher is Covid positive. Quarantine. Since he was vaccinated 2 weeks ago, I thought the quarantine is a "thing of the past"... Little did I know -- he has to receive another jab next week, and only then he'll be "vaccinated". Tested this evening - he's negative.

I don't know how to help DS1 and DIL, they already spent their vacation time being at home with the kids. Now we have another week of quarantine to deal with.

No end to this Covid mess....

Dani, I am so sorry you were jabbed so hard that it gave you a hematoma.  There was no excuse for them having done that to you.  Dang!

I'm glad your DH isn't hurting so much.  It's a darn shame that your son and DIL had to use their vacation time staying home with the kids and will have to deal with this quarantining all over again.

This Covid mess is so unreal....and yet, it is so real!😫

She was the one who started this all.  Getting  Covid at a party, coming home and infecting us all.  She was the first to test positive on the antigen test and had all the symptoms.  Then the PCR test 10 days later...negative and now this negative.  Looks like I'm paying the $200 for her to test after our Feb cruise.

WTH?  This is crazy. Maybe Merlin needs a dog sitter and the three of you can head south.  Sarah won’t like the sounds of that though. 😉

Crazy testing stuff.  My granddaughter’s PCR result from last Tuesday just came in last night - negative.  They had given up and done a home test on her which was positive!  SIL had mild symptoms for 3 days, granddaughter has had boogie nose, dry cough and low fever for a week, my daughter has sore throat & extreme fatigue, the baby has no symptoms thankfully.  Like you Dani, I feel terrible that we can’t help them out.
Also sorry to hear you have such arm pain; hopefully no side effects for either of you.

Of the 4 of us Sarah was the best one for it to happen to since we are driving.  Makes testing easier for us.  Vikki would gave been the worst and without having the positive test she may not have traveled in March.

Actually, it's Sarah and I in February and then Vikki, Toby and I in March.  Schools are  on different schedules. She wants to take Merlin to her house of 6 girls for the week.....no way, he's too much of a puppy still and takes way too much work,  he's all booked in at camp.

Frustrating yes but certainly will not stop us from sailing in February. We are driving back and have time so I may look at some other testing options instead of Royals $200 test at the pier.

You have to come. I have wine

Dani, as I was reading the above post, I was going to post a response with the same exact comment but you beat me to it.

Hope your jabbed arm feels better,  I was lucky.  I never even felt the needle go into my arm all 3 times.  Same with Jack.

@DaniDanielleMarietta so sorry for this sad news.  You all were lucky to have known him.

Unfortunately, I broke part of my tooth eating ICE CREAM.  The chocolate chip did the dirty deed,  So off to the dentist I went to find out I have 2 options.  A crown or build the tooth up.  Jack had one tooth built up instead of a crown and it broke twice so a crown it is.  Mucho dinero,😒 The good news is that I have no pain at all and I totally love my dentist.  Crown work will commence Thursday. Ugh!

Thank you.  Good luck with the dentist.  I broke a tooth one time eating a tuna sandwich!

Thanks Debbie.  Looks like you are enjoying Anthem.

Yes, weather was much nicer today.  70f partly cloudy andci was able to sit out on pool deck and  read.

We had Chops for dinner tonight and as good as I always.

Internet and CC were giving me issues today,  but all good for now.

Another sea day tomorrow and hoping for clear skies with warm sun to catch some tan.

As of tonight they are no longer anyone to sit at casino bar and I noticed signs on bathroom doors to limit capacity to 3 or 4 people.  How the he** are you suppose to know how many are in the bathroom stalls.

@dani negreanusorry to hear about your arm.  I hope it feels better tomorrow.   Glad yo hear GS tested negative.  Yup covid mess no matter where you are.   Hope you are getting some rest tonight😍
