Sunshine3601 Posted April 18, 2022 #54451 Share Posted April 18, 2022 We are home from a wonderful Easter dinner with my Brother and his family at Seasons 52. Tried a new drink that was delicious. A peach reisling mule with orange blossom vodka and ginger beer. I have to look up the recipe.
Rare Lionesss Posted April 18, 2022 #54452 Share Posted April 18, 2022 Today for Easter dinner we enjoyed tossed salad with Italian dressing, baked potato butter sour cream, home made cheese sauce over fresh cauliflower, eye of round with mushroom gravy. Leftovers will make another meal, frozen for the future.

Rare h20skibum Posted April 18, 2022 #54454 Share Posted April 18, 2022 My assignment for the day was to create a dolphin theme fruit bowl carving for our granddaughter’s 7th birthday, and Easter. So not wanting to fail at this, I measured the circumference of the watermelon, and drew a wave template in AutoCad. Ok, so far, so good. The raw materials were gathered and the template placed. After tracing the template, it was time to cut the top off, and scoop out the melon. Susan gave me her “are you crazy” look, when I brought the electric drill and a hole saw to the kitchen to work on it. Anyhow, this was the semi-finished product with a couple dolphins. Of course, by the time we got it to daughter’s house, my dolphins were starting to brown. It was a great party, but I found that these dolphins are much easier.

I will be interested to know how you feel about it. I finished the book today. I always preferred his Myron and Win characters better than Wilde. I thought it was okay, and the pace picked up as the storyline developed. There were a couple things that time wise did not make sense, but it is still good escapism. I just copied a book and author list from another site, and I will have to research some of them, since I am running out of authors.

Even though it sounds crazy, Hole saw with template was a great idea! The banana dolphins are perfect too😃 You may just have created a new job for yourself for future parties 4

In Dallas we normally just have dinner at someplace that has live music.

I agree that it did pick up after a while, but the Myron books still are my favorite. However, I did not like "Win". I loved all of the other Coben books. I've got the new Baldacci book "Dream Town" on hold at the library, to be published tomorrow. If you want to reply, articulate. 🤣 1 1

Baldacci is definitely my favorite author, have enjoyed all his books , normally wait for his books to get to paperback.

Rare aussielozzie18 Posted April 18, 2022 #54467 Share Posted April 18, 2022 Exciting day for Australian cruisers, with the first cruise ship arriving in Sydney after a 2 year cruise ship ban. No passengers, crew only but the ship cruising into the harbour was met with several fire boats and tv helicopters flying overhead. Lots of people lined at the Opera House to watch it cruise past and dock at Circular Quay. Absolutely glorious day for it too. 24
Rare aussielozzie18 Posted April 18, 2022 #54468 Share Posted April 18, 2022 We were on the ferry to Watsons Bay. Timed it to see the ship come into the harbour and to beat the huge queues for the ferries this weekend, due to gorgeous weather and free public transport currently on offer until the 25th. Just gorgeous on the harbour today.
Rare aussielozzie18 Posted April 18, 2022 #54469 Share Posted April 18, 2022 Watson’s Bay is a 30min ferry trip from Circular Quay with a stop at Rose Bay Wharf on the way. From the ferry wharf it is short walk around to a lovely harbour beach.
Rare aussielozzie18 Posted April 18, 2022 #54470 Share Posted April 18, 2022 Forgot to bring our swimmers but no worries we could have had a dip at the nudist beach which can be seen from the walking track. Alas, despite the fine specimens on display, we decided to continue walking and not join them. 7

Rare aussielozzie18 Posted April 18, 2022 #54473 Share Posted April 18, 2022 (edited) On the way back to the ferry, we viewed The Gap and then sat on the water’s edge to wait for the ferry. Next time, we will continue our walk from The Gap around the the cliff walk to Dover Heights. Edited April 18, 2022 by aussielozzie18
Rare aussielozzie18 Posted April 18, 2022 #54474 Share Posted April 18, 2022 Glad we didn’t continue on with the Cliff walk to Dover Heights today. Just seen on social media that there was a rockfall this morning and a section of our planned walk has been closed off and engineers are assessing.
