I'm sitting in the ER at a hospital in Staten Island right now, hoping Jim will be discharged in a couple of hours.  Jim was staying at his sister's home on SI for 2 nights since he had an early appointment for his 9/11 checkup this morning, and another early appt tomorrow for his echo test at his cardiologist.  After having dinner this evening, he started having indigestion, then was becoming nauseous and was perspiring.  My nephew, who is a Paramedic, went to check on Jim and then called an ambulance.  He then called my daughter who told me what was happening.  My other daughter then drove me to the Island. He looks good, and is feeling much better.

Sending You and Jim our prayers 🙏 that he is okay Maryann.

Your nephew was right getting Jim checked out with those symptoms.

Take care.

Graham.

Isn't this the first time EVER that there has been no drama from the chef?

I did read that he won't be returning to BD. He has opened (or will be opening) a restaurant in LA.

He serms to be very talented. I'm not surprised that he would open a restaurant. The lack of drama has been refreshing and I think his low key disposition will contribute to future success.

Scary stuff.  It's great that your nephew was there and knew how to respond.  Hopefully Jim is home and sleeping comfortably now.

I hope they get some feedback that people like the show better without the drama.  I would watch it if it's just about traveling to beautiful places in style, with a behind the scenes look at running a super yacht.  I can't handle the drama though.  I'm guessing that more people prefer the show with the drama rather than without.

Update from Italy. 🇮🇹

Dani asked Rory to ask me to share with y'all that she is experiencing horrible internet and is sorry she can't post now😪

She may have used the term sucks.

I cannot confirm or deny that sentiment😉

Tremendous Rain Storm here right now(heavy rain and strong winds), suppose to be the next 2 hours, Here's hoping my garden survives.

We were in the iffy area of possible storms.

Last night at 1:02 am woke up to thunder.

3 loud God fearing booms and then the rain.

Some further lightning

Back to dream land after a P call.

Slept till 5 am

Due to------ too many commitments and lack of time I will show you how we down sized our traditional big garden plot to a modified pitiful garden this year.

Picture to follow.

Take care

Is that hot water baseboard heat? That a great kind of heat for your winters in NH I bet. Baseboard heat is the best kind of heat, it keeps the house a nice even kind of (temp)heat compared to Hot air heat which cools down a little before heater comes on again and blower comes on.

Hot water baseboard in my house too. It can interfer a bit with furniture placement but I like it much better than the forced hot air in the office. My grandparents had hot water cast iron radiators in their house. That place was so comfortable in winter.

We have hot water baseboard heat in our house, too.  Three separate zones to regulate heat in different areas of the house.

Much nicer than forced air.

Yes, gas hot water baseboard.  I agree it’s a more even, comfortable heat that forced hot air. But OB’s right, it does interfere a bit with furniture placement.  It’s going to look odd that there’s no baseboard under the new double window but it would cost about $ 600 to replace that whole wall of bb and it’s just not that important to me.

Its just been a year ago that we took our first post shutdown cruise on Adventure out of Nassau.

We will be on Allure on July 17,  for 2 weeks. First time to sail in July, but these are casino comp cruises.

Since the county no longer has testing, I ordered the emed tests on Friday, and yesterday the arrived. I didn't even pay extra for expedited processing. I also ordered the free government test kits.  Up till now, we have never had any symptoms, so we have only gotten tested for cruising.  But, it will be nice to have them around.

WE also have n95 masks in case we get concerned while cruising.

We can also still go to Publix to get a second booster shot.

No use taking chances.

WE did go over to the west coast to watch the grand kids  while their parents took a 7 day cruise.  Haven't heard of anyone getting sick from that.

Check the expiration dates on all the kits you have, use the ones first that are expiring first. I do hear if you use an out of date one they aren't as accurate.

Place a small table , or other object, under the window and it will look like the baseboard was intentionally done like that.

I am curious Deb, why you didn't like the slider and the small deck?  I like to go outside after I take a shower, (in my robe) to see what the weather is like. The new window looks lovely. It is nice to be able to open the door a little bit, though, or maybe call down to people at the pool?

And here anyway, it is a fire safety thing.

It wasn’t really deep enough to sit on comfortably, plus it’s recessed from the rest of the house and didn’t get much sun.  I’d much rather sit on the big deck which is nice & sunny. Plus the pool equipment is right below the balcony, and the new main deck stairs are much closer so it’s too just to busy looking.  The mechanical stuff will eventually be hidden by a short fence and landscaping but I prefer a cleaner look without the balcony.

Marco is an amazing Chef.  That is great to hear he is opening up his own restaurant.   That is always a tough business to start up but I feel he should be rather successful and wish him lots of luck.

It was very muggy last night we had to put ac on. Woke up to black sky over bay with bright sky over the ocean.  Just started to drizzle.

Chris n Donna left early this morning to head back to Philly to go back to work today.   We had a lot of fun the last couple of days.   Donna is a really nice girl and we are really happy they found each other😍

Good Morning Maryann,  I hope Jim is OK and back home.   That is great he had a paramedic (Nephew) there to help him
